Testing The Determinants Of Stock Exchange Index Comovement In Thailand Stock Exchange, Nuntapat Asavaroengchai

A study into the effects of different macroeconomic variables on the comovement between the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) Index and the Standard & Poor's 500 (S&P 500). These effects are tested using OLS regression in an annual and quarterly frequency. Real Interest Rate Difference between the two countries is found to have a significant negative effect, likely due to investors turning to Thailand when it has higher real interest rate. In Thailand, marriage has been one of many women’s aspirations. However, nowadays women’s labor force participation has increased, and women have become more economically independent as a result of higher education attainment. An important question is whether these factors lead to an older age of marriage or even a choice remaining single. This paper analyzes how women’s education affects the marriage outcome and studies single women’s perspective towards marriage. By using data from 18,912 adolescents, ages from 13 to 15 years, from two years 2007 and 2014 of the Global Youth Tobacco Survey in Vietnam, were selected for these analyses. The objective of this study is to examine the impact of institutional factors on cross-border merger and acquisition (M&A) inflows by using a panel data of 18 selected Asian countries from 2002 to 2016. This study examines the effect of types of investor investment flow on Thailand Stock Market Index returns. Daily data on investment types, namely, foreign investors, institutional investors, proprietary investors, and retail investors from the Stock Exchange of Thailand for the period 2015 to 2020 is used. The results from the OLS model show that proprietary investors dominate the SET index. We also conduct a Granger causality test to understand the relationship between the SET index and investor investment flow. This study considers whether close proximity to higher education institutions increases the probability of earning a bachelor’s degree, overeducation, and horizontal mismatch between degree and occupation. Using data from the 2015 and 2016 Labor Force Survey of the National Statistical Office of Thailand, and jobs data from the Ministry of Labor, we find that individuals living in provinces with research or Rajabhat universities are more likely to earn a bachelor’s degree, but does not increase the probability of being overeducated for their job. ระบบชุมชนสนับสนุนเกษตรกรรม (CSA) คือ รูปแบบของความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างเกษตรกรและผู้บริโภค ในการซื้อขายผลผลิตอินทรีย์ โดยให้ผู้บริโภคเข้ามาเป็นสมาชิกและมีการชำระเงินล่วงหน้าให้เกษตรกรเป็นรายปี ผู้บริโภคจะได้ผลผลิตอินทรีย์จากฟาร์มเกษตรกรโดยตรงเป็นรายสัปดาห์ หรือตามข้อกำหนดที่ตกลงกันไว้ การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาลักษณะและการตัดสินใจของเกษตรกรและผู้บริโภคที่เป็นสมาชิกภายใต้ระบบชุมชนสนับสนุนเกษตรกรรม (CSA) ในประเทศไทย โดยผู้วิจัยเลือกเก็บข้อมูลผ่านแบบสอบถามกับกลุ่มตัวอย่างเกษตรกรและกลุ่มตัวอย่างผู้บริโภคทั้งที่อยู่ภายใต้ระบบและไม่ได้อยู่ภายใต้ระบบ CSA ผลการศึกษาพบว่า เกษตรกรในกลุ่ม CSA มีอายุเฉลี่ยที่สูง มีรายจ่ายและหนี้สินน้อย ในด้านลักษณะเกษตรกรรม เกษตรกรในกลุ่ม CSA มีประสบการณ์ในภาคเกษตรน้อยกว่า และใช้พื้นที่ในการเพาะปลูกน้อยกว่าเกษตรกรในกลุ่ม Non-CSA เหตุผลในการตัดสินใจเข้าร่วม CSA ของเกษตรกรให้ความสำคัญกับการไม่ใช้สารเคมีในการเกษตรมากที่สุด ลักษณะของผู้บริโภคในระบบชุนสนับสนุนเกษตรกรรม (CSA) มีอายุเฉลี่ย ระดับการศึกษา จำนวนสมาชิกในครัวเรือน และระดับรายได้สูงกว่าผู้บริโภคในกลุ่ม Non-CSA โดยเหตุผลในด้านผลผลิตอินทรีย์เป็นแรงจูงใจของผู้บริโภคในการตัดสินใจเข้าร่วมในระบบชุมชนสนับสนุนเกษตรกรรมมากที่สุด

This study investigates the impact of economic development on health, using a panel of 217 countries (139 high-income and 78 low-income countries for the period 1995-2018). Five dependent variables are included, which are life expectancy at birth, infant mortality, under-5 mortality, survival to age 65 for the female and the male population. Efforts to tackle this problem have tended to focus on reducing antibiotic consumption and promoting the appropriate use of medicines. This study used a secondary dataset drawn from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS,2015). In this nationally survey, the number of observations was 9,876. The dependent variable used in this study is smoking and non-smoking. Smoking includes light smoking, moderate, and heavy smoking. For over 30 years, there has been numerous studies on firm’s pricing strategies influenced by financing decisions. The evidences of such effects are undeniably true but surprisingly less known and discussed in the corporate world. This paper hence demonstrates real-case firms such as Apple Inc. and Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. in a methodological research such that financial statements are analyzed and strategies are theoretically explained accordingly.
