The following paper addresses religious women’s low levels of sexual self-esteem. Sexual self-esteem is a complex identity system that includes one’s self-perceived attractiveness, sexual moral judgments, confidence in one’s agency to adhere to moral standards, and more. The Christian Church has a responsibility to intervene in women’s low sexual self-esteem because they have a call to disciple people in God’s truth; sex is depicted as a natural desire and gift from God in the Bible and sexual immorality is a topic that needs clarification, especially in religious groups.
