Collider searches for dark sectors, new particles interacting only feebly with ordinary matter, have largely focused on identifying signatures of new mediators, leaving much of dark sector structures unexplored. In particular, the existence of dark matter bound states (darkonia) remains to be investigated. This possibility could arise in a simple model in which a dark photon (A') is light enough to generate an attractive force between dark fermions. We report herein a search for a JPC ¼ 1−− darkonium state, the ϒD, produced in the reaction e+e → γϒD, ϒDA …

We study the processes e+eπ+ππ0π0π0π0γ and π+ππ0π0π0ηγ in which an energetic photon is radiated from the initial state. The data were collected with the BABAR detector at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. About 7300 and 870 events, respectively, are selected from a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 469 fb−1. The invariant mass of the hadronic final state defines the effective e+e center-of-mass energy. The center-of-mass …

The process e+e→ π+ππ0γ is studied at a center-of-mass energy near the ϒ(4S) resonance using a data sample of 469 fb−1 collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II collider. We have performed a precise measurement of the e+eπ+ππ0 cross section in the center-of-mass energy range from 0.62 to 3.5 GeV. In the energy regions of theω and ϕ resonances, the cross section is measured with a systematic uncertainty of 1.3%. The leading-order hadronic contribution to the …

We present a new measurement of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element |Vcb| from B0 → D*-vℓ decays, reconstructed with the full Belle data set of 711 fb−1 integrated luminosity. Two form factor parametrizations, originally conceived by the Caprini-Lellouch-Neubert (CLN) and the Boyd, Grinstein and Lebed (BGL) groups, are used to extract the product F(1)ηEW||Vcb| and the decay form factors, where F(1) is the normalization factor and ηEW is a small electroweak correction. In the CLN parametrization we find F(1)ηEW||Vcb|=(35.06 ± 0.15 ± 0.56) × 10−3, …

An angular analysis of the decay B̅ → D ∗ ℓ − v̅ ℓ , ℓ ∈ { e , μ } , is reported using the full e +e collision data set collected by the BABAR experiment at the Υ (4S) resonance. One B meson from the Υ (4S) → B B̅ decay is fully reconstructed in a hadronic decay mode, which constrains the kinematics and provides a determination of the neutrino momentum vector. The kinematics of the semileptonic decay is described by the dilepton mass squared, q2 , and three …
