Turkish Journal of Physics

We have investigated the decays of several zinc isotopes produced by photonuclear reactions, which were induced by bremsstrahlung photon beams from a clinical e-linac. A photon beam of 18 MeV endpoint energy was directed at a target consisting of primarily zinc isotopes in their natural abundances. Subsequently, the induced decays of unstable zinc isotopes were measured with an HPGe detector twice, once shortly after irradiation and once on the following day. Decays of Zn-63, Zn-65, Zn-69m, and Cu-67 were measured and fitted. In addition, the gamma energy levels of the daughters of these decays were measured with good accuracy. All …

Level Structure Of ^{210}Po By Means Of Surface Delta Interaction, Ali Khalaf Hasan, Abdul Ridha Hussain Subber Jan 2013

Level Structure Of ^{210}Po By Means Of Surface Delta Interaction, Ali Khalaf Hasan, Abdul Ridha Hussain Subber

Turkish Journal of Physics

Within the framework of the shell model, we consider the residual interaction to be a surface delta interaction. This interaction has been applied in the calculation of the energy levels of ^{210}Po, which belong to N = 126 magic closed shell nuclei. The pure and the configuration mixings are applied in the calculations of matrix elements. The predicted energy levels are compared with experimental data.

\Delta (E2/M1) And X(E0/E2) Mixing Ratios In ^{134}Ba By Means Of Ibm-2, Abdul Ridha Hussain Subber, Flih Hussain Al-Khudair Jan 2012

\Delta (E2/M1) And X(E0/E2) Mixing Ratios In ^{134}Ba By Means Of Ibm-2, Abdul Ridha Hussain Subber, Flih Hussain Al-Khudair

Turkish Journal of Physics

The ^{134}Ba isotope (Z = 56) lies in the transitional region closer to the vibrational range of nuclei. Energy levels B(E2), B(M1) and the mixing ratios \delta (E2/M1) and X(E0/E2) for selected transitions were calculated in the framework of the proton-neutron interacting boson model (IBM-2). All results were compared with experimental data. Some experimental X(E0/E2) ratios were calculated from available experimental data. Majorana parameters were found to have a great effect on the calculated energy levels of the 2_3^+ and 2_4^+, which indicate that both of them have mixed symmetry properties.

Effect Of Nitrogen Incorporation On The Electronic And Optical Properties Of Algaasn/Gaas Quantum Well Lasers, Boualem Merabet, Abdelhadi Lachebi, Hamza Abid Jan 2011

Effect Of Nitrogen Incorporation On The Electronic And Optical Properties Of Algaasn/Gaas Quantum Well Lasers, Boualem Merabet, Abdelhadi Lachebi, Hamza Abid

Turkish Journal of Physics

In order to investigate the profound effect of small amounts of nitrogen incorporated into the III-V systems on the fundamental band gap, which decreases dramatically with increasing of N^+ implantation, we present a pseudopotential formalism within the Virtual Crystal Approximation confronted to the Band Anti-crossing model, which parameterizes successfully such behaviour, so as to study the electronic and optical properties of dilute Al_xGa_{1-x}As_{1-y}N_y materials, prepared by implantation of N^+ into epitaxial AlGaAs. Analytical formulas of quantized energy levels in AlGaAsN quantum well (QW) lasers and optical transition wavelengths between subbands are presented and compared to simulations based on our programs.

Theoretical Calculation Of Energy Levels Of Pb Iii, Chao Zhou, Jian Jian Cao, Liang Liang, Ling Zhang Jan 2011

Theoretical Calculation Of Energy Levels Of Pb Iii, Chao Zhou, Jian Jian Cao, Liang Liang, Ling Zhang

Turkish Journal of Physics

In this paper, the results of theoretical calculation of five Rydberg series energy levels 5d_{3/2} \to np_{1/2} (n=6--20), 5d_{3/2} \to nf_{5/2} (n=5--20), 5d_{5/2} \to np_{3/2} (n=6--20), 5d_{5/2} \to nf_{7/2} (n=5-20) and 5d_{5/2} \to nf_{5/2} (n=5-20) for Pb III ions are presented using the weakest bound electron potential model (WBEPM) theory, considering foreign level perturbation corrections. The theoretically calculated results agree very well with present known experimental data, and some energy levels without experimental values are predicted.

Nuclear Structure Of Even-Even Ge Isotopes By Means Of Interacting Boson Models, Abdul R. H. Subber Jan 2011

Nuclear Structure Of Even-Even Ge Isotopes By Means Of Interacting Boson Models, Abdul R. H. Subber

Turkish Journal of Physics

Interacting Boson Models IBM-1and IBM-2, have been used to calculate energy levels and nuclear properties of the even-even Ge isotopes from A = 64 to A = 80. Energy levels of the low lying states of these nuclei were produced, the electric quadruple reduced transition probabilities B(E2) were calculated as well. Mixing ratios \delta (E2/M1) for transitions with \Delta I=0, I \ne 0 were calculated. All the results are compared with available experimental data and other IBM versions and calculations. Satisfactory agreements were produced.
