Magnetic Response Of A Two-Dimensional Viscous Electron Fluid, Aydin Cem Keser, Oleg Sushkov Jan 2023

Magnetic Response Of A Two-Dimensional Viscous Electron Fluid, Aydin Cem Keser, Oleg Sushkov

Turkish Journal of Physics

It has been established that the Coulomb interactions can transform the electron gas into a viscous fluid. This fluid is realized in a number of platforms, including graphene and two-dimensional semiconductor heterostructures. The defining characteristic of the electron fluid is the formation of layers of charge carriers that are in local thermodynamic equilibrium, as in classical fluids. In the presence of nonuniformities, whirlpools and nontrivial flow profiles are formed, which have been directly imaged in recent experiments. In this paper, we theoretically study the response of the electron fluid to localized magnetic fields. We find that the electric current is …

Tuning The Electrical And Morphological Characteristics Of Pedot:Pss Films Through Mixed Cosolvent Addition And Performance Of Their Polymer Solar Cells, Çi̇sem Kirbiyik Jan 2019

Tuning The Electrical And Morphological Characteristics Of Pedot:Pss Films Through Mixed Cosolvent Addition And Performance Of Their Polymer Solar Cells, Çi̇sem Kirbiyik

Turkish Journal of Physics

This work aimed to reveal the influence of premixed cosolvent addition to low conductive PEDOT:PSS solution and how the optimized thin film conductivity develops. PEDOT:PSS thin films were obtained by addition of EG and MeOH cosolvent mixture (8, 10, and 15 v/v.%) and the morphological, electrical, optical, and bandgap properties of the films obtained were characterized by different techniques. The addition of mixed cosolvent can effectively control the grain size distribution and thus the conductivity. The optical characterization results revealed that the bandgap decreased with increasing volume of mixed cosolvent. The conductivity characteristics showed that the addition of 10% v/v.% …

Structural, Physical, And Electrical Properties Of Boro-Vanadate-Iron Glasses Doped With K_2o Alkali, Harshvadan R. Panchal Jan 2014

Structural, Physical, And Electrical Properties Of Boro-Vanadate-Iron Glasses Doped With K_2o Alkali, Harshvadan R. Panchal

Turkish Journal of Physics

The structural, physical, and electrical properties of semiconducting oxide glasses with composition xK_2O: (95-X) [B_2O_3: 2V_2O_5]: 5Fe_2O_3 (0 \le x \le 30) have been studied. The glasses were prepared by splat-quenching method. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) studies of these glasses were carried out to study the effect of the modifier and glass former in the glasses. These changes in the molecular structure, bond length, and vibrational group were studied in the spectral range of 400-1350 cm^{-1}. The increase in the intensity and shifting of vibrational bands occurred towards lower wave numbers at 1400-1350 cm^{-1}, 1200 cm^{-1}, and 100-940 cm^{-1}. …

Peculiarities Of The Electric And Thermoelectric Properties Of Gate, M. M. Nassary Jan 2006

Peculiarities Of The Electric And Thermoelectric Properties Of Gate, M. M. Nassary

Turkish Journal of Physics

Measurements of electrical conductivity, Hall coefficient and thermoelectric power were carried out over the temperature range 136--563 K for GaTe compound grown in single crystal form by modified Bridgman technique. The crystals obtained had Positive-type conductivity with a hole concentration of 3.8 \times 10^{12} cm^{-3} at room temperature. Conductivity and Hall mobility at room temperature were evaluated as 4.4 \times 10^{-3} ohm^{-1} cm^{-1} and 7079 cm^2/V \cdot s, respectively. The energy gap width of 1.5 eV was found. The effective mass of holes and electrons at room temperature were 4.16 m_° and 0.1174 m_° , respectively

Characterization Of In_{4}Te_{3} Single Crystals, M. Dongol, M. M. Nassary, M. K. Gerges, M. A. Sebag

Turkish Journal of Physics

Single crystals of In_{4}Te_{3} grown by modified Bridgman technique were characterized by measurement of the Hall coefficient, electrical conductivity and Seebeck coefficient, in the temperature range 200-500 K. The investigated sample was found to be of P-type conductivity.R_{H} at room temperature was 3.1 \times 10^{14} cm^{3}/coul and the carrier concentration was evaluated as 2.007 \times 10^{14} cm^{3}. Energy gap \Delta E_{g} and ionization energy \Delta E_{a} were estimated as 0.28 eV and 0.12 eV, respectively, and the diffusion coefficient, the diffusion length, the mean free time between collision and the effective mass of carriers were evaluated. The variation of the …
