Hematocrit Level On Blood Flow Through A Stenosed Artery With Permeable Wall: A Theoretical Study, A. Malek, A. Hoque

Applications and Applied Mathematics: An International Journal (AAM)

The paper deals with the hematocrit level on resistance of flow, wall shear stress in a stenosed artery of permeable wall. In the paper we have developed and solved some theoretical formulas based on stenosis and hematocrit effects. The results highlight that the resistance of flow increases for increasing of stenosis height where the hematocrit level (35%-45%) has significant effects. Moreover, the effects of slip parameter and Darcy number due to permeability of the wall on resistance of flow have been investigated. The effects of hematocrit level, slip parameter and Darcy number have been focused on wall shear stress of …

Mathematical Model Of Blood Flow Through A Composite Stenosis In Catheterized Artery With Permeable Wall, Rupesh K. Srivastav Jun 2014

Mathematical Model Of Blood Flow Through A Composite Stenosis In Catheterized Artery With Permeable Wall, Rupesh K. Srivastav

Applications and Applied Mathematics: An International Journal (AAM)

The present mathematical analysis, the study of blood flow through the model of a composite stenosed catheterized artery with permeable wall, has been performed to investigate the blood flow characteristics. The expressions for the blood flow characteristics-the impedance (resistance to flow), the wall shear stress distribution in stenosis region, the shear stress at the throat of the stenosis have been derived. The results obtained are displayed graphically and discussed briefly.

Blood Flow Through A Composite Stenosis In An Artery With Permeable Wall, Shailesh Mishra, S. U. Siddiqui, Amit Medhavi

Applications and Applied Mathematics: An International Journal (AAM)

The present work concerns the fluid mechanical study on the effects of the permeability of the wall through an artery with a composite stenosis. The expressions for the blood flow characteristics, the flow resistance, the wall shear stress, shearing stress at the stenosis throat have been derived. Results for the effect of permeability on these flow characteristics are shown graphically and discussed briefly.
