Raw data are classified using clustering techniques in a reasonable manner to create disjoint clusters. A lot of clustering algorithms based on specific parameters have been proposed to access a high volume of datasets. This paper focuses on cluster analysis based on neutrosophic set implication, i.e., a k-means algorithm with a threshold-based clustering technique. This algorithm addresses the shortcomings of the k-means clustering algorithm by overcoming the limitations of the threshold-based clustering algorithm. To evaluate the validity of the proposed method, several validity measures and validity indices are applied to the Iris dataset (from the University of California, Irvine, Machine …

Neutrosophic set has been derived from a new branch of philosophy, namely Neutrosophy. Neutrosophic set is capable of dealing with uncertainty, indeterminacy and inconsistent information. Neutrosophic set approaches are suitable to modeling problems with uncertainty, indeterminacy and inconsistent information in which human knowledge is necessary, and human evaluation is needed. Neutrosophic set theory firstly proposed in 1998 by Florentin Smarandache, who also developed the concept of single valued neutrosophic set, oriented towards real world scientific and engineering applications. Since then, the single valued neutrosophic set theory has been extensively studied in books and monographs introducing neutrosophic sets and its applications, …

Introduction To Neutrosophic Sociology (Neutrosociology), Florentin Smarandache Jan 2019

Introduction To Neutrosophic Sociology (Neutrosociology), Florentin Smarandache

Branch Mathematics and Statistics Faculty and Staff Publications

Neutrosophic Sociology (or Neutrosociology) is the study of sociology using neutrosophic scientific methods.

The huge social data that we face in sociology is full of indeterminacy: it is vague, incomplete, contradictory, hybrid, biased, ignorant, redundant, superfluous, meaningless, ambiguous, unclear, etc.

That’s why the neutrosophic sciences (which deal with indeterminacy), through the process of neutrosophication, are involved, such as: neutrosophy (a new branch of philosophy), neutrosophic set, neutrosophic logic, neutrosophic probability and neutrosophic statistics, neutrosophic analysis, neutrosophic measure, and so on.

Neutrosophy studies only the triads (A, neutA, antiA), where A is an item or a concept, that make sense in …

Neutrosophic Multi-Criteria Decision Making, Florentin Smarandache, Jun Ye, Yanhui Guo

Branch Mathematics and Statistics Faculty and Staff Publications

The notion of a neutrosophic quadruple BCK/BCI-number is considered in the first article (“Neutrosophic Quadruple BCK/BCI-Algebras”, by Young Bae Jun, Seok-Zun Song, Florentin Smarandache, and Hashem Bordbar), and a neutrosophic quadruple BCK/BCI-algebra, which consists of neutrosophic quadruple BCK/BCI-numbers, is constructed. Several properties are investigated, and a (positive implicative) ideal in a neutrosophic quadruple BCK-algebra and a closed ideal in a neutrosophic quadruple BCI-algebra are studied. Given subsets A and B of a BCK/BCI-algebra, the set NQ(A,B), which consists of neutrosophic quadruple BCK/BCInumbers with a condition, is established. Conditions for the set NQ(A,B) to be a (positive implicative) ideal of a …

Neutrosophic Set Approach To Algebraic Structures, Florentin Smarandache, Madad Khan, Fazal Tahir

Real world is featured with complex phenomenons. As uncertainty is inevitably involved in problems arise in various elds of life and classical methods failed to handle these type of problems. Dealing with imprecise, uncertain or imperfect information was a big task for many years. Many modelswerepresentedinordertoproperlyincorporateuncertaintyintosystem description, LotA.Zadeh in 1965 introduced the idea of a fuzzy set. Zadeh replaced conventional characteristic function of classical crisp sets which takes on its values in f0;1g by membership function which takes on its values in closed interval [0;1]. Fuzzy set theory is conceptually a very powerful technique to deal with another aspect or …

A New Type Of Group Action Through The Applications Of Fuzzy Sets And Neutrosophic Sets, Florentin Smarandache, Mumtaz Ali

Branch Mathematics and Statistics Faculty and Staff Publications

Fuzzy sets are the most significant tools to handle uncertain data while neutrosophic sets are the generalizations of fuzzy sets in the sense to handle uncertain, incomplete, inconsistent, indeterminate, false data. In this paper, we introduced fuzzy subspaces and neutrosophic subspaces (generalization of fuzzy subspaces) by applying group actions.Further, we define fuzzy transitivity and neutrosophic transitivty in this paper. Fuzzy orbits and neutrosophic orbits are introduced as well. We also studied some basic properties of fuzzy subspaces as well as neutrosophic subspaces.

Symbolic Neutrosophic Theory, Florentin Smarandache Jan 2015

Symbolic Neutrosophic Theory, Florentin Smarandache

Branch Mathematics and Statistics Faculty and Staff Publications

Symbolic (or Literal) Neutrosophic Theory is referring to the use of abstract symbols (i.e. the letters T, I, F, or their refined indexed letters Tj, Ik, Fl) in neutrosophics.

In the first chapter we extend the dialectical triad thesis-antithesis-synthesis (dynamics of A and antiA, to get a synthesis) to the neutrosophic tetrad thesis-antithesis-neutrothesis-neutrosynthesis (dynamics of A, antiA, and neutA, in order to get a neutrosynthesis).

In the second chapter we introduce the neutrosophic system and neutrosophic dynamic system. A neutrosophic system is a quasi- or –classical system, in the sense that the neutrosophic …

In this paper several distance and similarity measures of interval neutrosophic soft sets are introduced. The measures are examined based on the geometric model, the set theoretic approach and the matching function. Finally, we have successfully shown an application of this similarity measure of interval neutrosophic soft sets.

Then we define NP-aggregation operator to form NP-soft decision making method which allows constructing more efficient decision processes. We also dive an example which shows that they can be successfully applied to problem that contain indeterminacy.

Investigation Of A Neutrosophic Group, A. Elrawy, Florentin Smarandache, Ayat A. Temraz

Branch Mathematics and Statistics Faculty and Staff Publications

We use a neutrosophic set, instead of an intuitionistic fuzzy because the neutrosophic set is more general, and it allows for independent and partial independent components, while in an intuitionistic fuzzy set, all components are totally dependent. In this article, we present and demonstrate the concept of neutrosophic invariant subgroups. We delve into the exploration of this notion to establish and study the neutrosophic quotient group. Further, we give the concept of a neutrosophic normal subgroup as a novel concept.

In 1960s Abraham Robinson has developed the non-standard analysis, a formalization of analysis and a branch of mathematical logic, that rigorously defines the infinitesimals. Informally, an infinitesimal is an infinitely small number. Formally, x is said to be infinitesimal if and only if for all positive integers n one has xxx < 1/n. Let &>0 be a such infinitesimal number. The hyper-real number set is an extension of the real number set, which includes classes of infinite numbers and classes of infinitesimal numbers. Let’s consider the non-standard finite numbers 1+ = 1+&, where “1” is its standard part and “&” its non-standard part, …
