Green chemistry is concerned with the development of safer, more efficient, and more environmentally acceptable chemical products and processes. An important aspect of green chemistry is the reduction of chemical waste. Catalysis is essential to achieving such a transformation. Hydrogenation is an example of an industrially important catalytic process. Hydrogenation reactions are common in the pharmaceutical industry as they provide a cost-effective and reliable approach to a wide range of compounds.
