The microband array electrode(MAE) consisting of 11 Pt microband of 5 m in wide, 2000 m long and 85 m gap was fabricated with a thin film techology .The MAE was characterized by means of cyclic voltammetry in a solution of K3Fe(CN)6 and H2O2. The results showed higher current density on MAE than on conventional Pt eletrode due to the strong edge effect of the former. A glucose microsensor was constructed with the substrate electrode of microband array.
