Comparing Cognitive Theories Of Learning Transfer To Advance Cybersecurity Instruction, Assessment, And Testing, Daniel T. Hickey Ph.D., Ronald J. Kantor

Journal of Cybersecurity Education, Research and Practice

The cybersecurity threat landscape evolves quickly, continually, and consequentially. This means that the transfer of cybersecurity learning is crucial. We compared how different recognized “cognitive” transfer theories might help explain and synergize three aspects of cybersecurity education. These include teaching and training in diverse settings, assessing learning formatively & summatively, and testing & measuring achievement, proficiency, & readiness. We excluded newer sociocultural theories and their implications for inclusion as we explore those theories elsewhere. We first summarized the history of cybersecurity education and proficiency standards considering transfer theories. We then explored each theory and reviewed the most relevant cybersecurity education …

Defining The Antioxsidants Quantity In Certification Of The Chicken Meat, B. N. Sattarova, I. R. Asqarov, Sh. X. Abdulloev Aug 2019

Defining The Antioxsidants Quantity In Certification Of The Chicken Meat, B. N. Sattarova, I. R. Asqarov, Sh. X. Abdulloev

Scientific journal of the Fergana State University

The article presents an analysis of the results obtained by chromatography-mass-spectrometric studies to determine the mass fractions of certain antioxidants in chicken meat, the excessive amount of which seriously threatens human health. The advantages of this method in the certification of meat products are substantiated. It has been established that the content of alpha-tocopherol in chicken meat imported from some foreign countries is several times higher than that produced in local poultry farms.

Digital Forensics, A Need For Credentials And Standards, Nima Zahadat Mar 2019

Digital Forensics, A Need For Credentials And Standards, Nima Zahadat

Journal of Digital Forensics, Security and Law

The purpose of the conducted study was to explore the credentialing of digital forensic investigators, drawing from applicable literature. A qualitative, descriptive research design was adopted which entailed searching across Google Scholar and ProQuest databases for peer reviewed articles on the subject matter. The resulting scholarship was vetted for timeliness and relevance prior to identification of key ideas on credentialing. The findings of the study indicated that though credentialing was a major issue in digital forensics with an attentive audience of stakeholders, it had been largely overshadowed by the fundamental curricula problems in the discipline. A large portion of research …
