Antimony is a chemically stable metal that has been widely used in industry, military and other fields. The use of electrodeposition to prepare antimony coating has the advantages of simple operation and low cost. The deep eutectic solvent (DES) is a eutectic mixture composed of a hydrogen bond donor and a hydrogen bond acceptor at a fixed molar ratio. It has the advantages of wide electrochemical window, high thermal stability, easy preparation, and low cost. Lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) are among the most widely used energy storage devices. Whole-cell modeling and simulations of LIBs can optimize the design of batteries with lower costs and higher speeds. The Pseudo-Two-Dimensional (P2D) electrochemical model is among the most famous whole-cell models and widely applied in LIB simulations. P2D model consists of a series of kinetic equations to model Li+/Li diffusion in working/counter electrodes and electrolytes, which are filled in the porous electrodes and separator, and reactions at the interface of electrolyte and active particles. In this report, a dopamine electrochemical sensor based on metal-substituted polyoxometalates and reduced graphene oxide (RGO) composite was successfully constructed. The K2H2SiW11NiO39·xH2O (SiW11Ni) was synthesized by hydrothermal method, while the RGO was prepared by Hummers' method and chemical reduction method. The above-mentioned materials were characterized by SEM, FTIR and XRD. Heterogeneous electron transfer (HET) coupled with Faradic adsorption/desorption is the fundamental processes involved in hydrogen evolution reaction, oxygen reduction reaction, carbon dioxide reduction reaction, and methanol oxidation reaction. However, the electrochemical behaviors of HET coupled with Faradic adsorption/desorption are complicated, and difficult to get the interface reaction kinetics quantitatively. In this paper, finite element method was adopted to simulate the cyclic voltammetric behaviors of HET coupled with Faradic adsorption/desorption processes by using the Fick’s second law and Langmuir isotherm. P-nitrothiophenol (PNTP) is one of the most common probe molecules studied by surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS). The research in electrochemical reduction behavior of PNTP will help understanding the mechanism for the nitrobenzene reduction. In this paper, we used transient electrochemical surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (TEC-SERS) to study the SERS of PNTP with cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry on gold electrodes. In this paper, we studied the electrochemical behaviors of azopurine on polished gold electrodes with cyclic voltammetry (CV). On the basis of analyzing scan rate and peak current, it was supposed that the redox process belonged to a reversible process controlled by adsorption in 0.2 mol·L-1 PBS (pH = 4.0 ~ 10.0) solutions. The potentials of redox peaks moved more negatively with increasing pH value. This proved that the H+ proton has participcted in the electrochemical reaction. The further data analysis and the calculation of surface adsorption excess demonstrated that the reaction was a two-proton and two-electron process. …

The electrodeposition of cobalt from a solution containing cobalt chloride in either a urea-choline chloride based or an ethylene glycol (EG)-choline chloride based ionic liquid has been carried out onto copper and steel cathodes by constant current and constant potential methods at different temperatures. Cyclic voltammetry and potential step methods were successfully used to study the electrochemical crystallization mechanism of silver deposition on glassy carbon electrode (GCE) in the practical cyanide-free silver plating electrolyte containing composite complexing agents. Scharifker-Hill (SH) theory was used to fitting the experimental data. The results showed that the electrodeposition of silver is a diffusion controlled irreversible electrode process according to three-dimensional instantaneous nucleation mechanism. When the step potential shifted from -750 mV to -825 mV, the peak deposition current Im was increased, while the induced nucleation time tm shortened. The influences of ferrous/ferric (Fe2+/Fe3+) interconvertion on electrochemical reduction and electrode reaction of Fe3+ were investigated by using linear sweep voltammetry, potentiostatic method and cyclic voltammetry (CV) in acidic electrolytes containing chloride ion (Cl- ) and sulfate ion (SO42-). Electrochemical techniques have been used to investigate the dissolution behaviors of ilmenite fraction of beach sand of Bangladesh in sulfuric acid solutions at various temperatures. The poly eriochrome black T modified electrode was prepared by electropolymerization. This modified electrode was characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) and cyclic voltammetry (CV). The electrochemical behaviors of terbutaline sulfate were studied by CV, while the recoveries were measured by differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). The modified electrode shows excellent electrocatalytic characteristics for terbutaline sulfate. In pH 7.0 phosphate buffer solution, the oxidation peak currents obtained by DPV were linear to the terbutaline sulfate concentrations over the range of 1.2x10-7~2.0x10-6 mol•L-1. The p-sulfophenylazo calix[4]arene was synthesized through the diazotization-coupling reaction between calix[4]arene and p-aminobenzene sulfonic acid. The UV-Vis spectroscopy, Infrared spectroscopy, and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) were used to characterize the as-prepared p-sulfophenylazo calix[4]arene. The electrochemical behaviors of p-sulfophenylazo calix[4]arene were investigated by cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry using CH3COOH-CH3COONa as a buffer solution. The result shows that the p-sulfophenylazo calix[4]arene exhibited a pair of redox peaks in a scan potential region of -0.5 ~ 1 V. A new method of electrocatalytic synthesis oxalic acid from acetylene was explored and the synthesized oxalic acid was characterized by Ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry (Uv-vis) and Infrared spectroscopy (IR). First-principles calculations were carried out to examine the adsorption of acetylene over the Pt(111) surface. Surface reaction processes of Pb electrodes were investigated in H2SO4 and Na2SO4 solutions by LSV, CV and EQCM. The results in the voltammogram and the mass change curve of the Pb electrode indicated that the oxide products of lead included PbSO4 and PbO·PbSO4 in sulfuric acid solution with a positive-going potential scan from -1.0 V to -0.4 V and then PbO·PbSO4 transformed into PbSO4. Electrodeposition of aluminium-magnesium alloys have been carried out onto platinum and copper cathodes from Lewis acidic aluminium(III) chloride-1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride ionic liquid containing magnesium(II) chloride by constant current and constant potential methods at room temperature. Adsorption of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) on Au(111) electrode was investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV). The results demonstrate that the adsorption of CTAB on Au(111) yields particular CV features. Both the adsorption of CTA+ and the phase change of the surfactant film are surface structure selective. Two pairs of stable sharp peaks that depend on halide species appear upon the adsorption of cationic surfactant on Au(111) electrode. The relationship between the peak current density and the scan rate indicates that the electron transfer reaction was controlled by diffusion process. In this work, the graphene-ZnO nanocomposite was successfully synthesized through a one-step solvothermal approach, using ethylene glycol as the solvent and reducing agent. The ZnO particles could be attached to the surfaces and edges of graphene sheet. The electrochemical performance of the nanocomposite was investigated by performing cyclic voltammetry, A.C. impedance and chronopotentiometry tests in 6 mol·L-1 KOH. The results showed that the graphene-ZnO nanocomposite exhibited a nice electrochemical specific capacitance of 115 F·g-1 determined in cyclic voltammetry test, or 71 F·g-1 evaluated in chronopotentiometry test and good reversible charge/discharge behavior.

Fluorescamine is a non-fluorescent reagent widely used for the quantitative determination of primary amines by fluorescence spectroscopy as it reacts readily with primary amines to form a fluorescent product. In this work, a new sensitive voltammetric method for the detection of ammonia in aqueous solution by the reaction with fluorescamine has been developed. Electrochemical properties of the Keggin-type lacunary heteropolysilicate anion SiW11O398- (SiW11) and its indirect electrocatalysis for H2O2 reduction in the supporting electrolyte containing 0.1 mol?L-1 NaHSO4 and Na2SO4 solutions were investigated using cyclic voltammetry, square wave voltammetry and alternating current impedance spectroscopy. Experimental results indicated that SiW11 showed two pairs of reversible redox waves on the glassy carbon (GC) electrode in an acidic solution. Ethanol Electrooxidation On Pt/Mo2/Cnts Catalysts, Yu-Long Cheng, Jie Sun, Ji-Gang Li, Li-Gong Zhang, Tian Zhou, Geng Chang, Zhong-Chao Dong

Journal of Electrochemistry

The ethanol electrooxidation behaviors on Pt/MO2/CNTs(M=Sn, Ti, Ce)and Pt/CNTs catalysts in H2SO4 solutions were researched by cyclic voltammetry. It has revealed that the catalysts with the addition of metal oxides presented higher electrooxidation activity for ethanol, in particular, the Pt/CeO2/CNTs catalyst showed the best activity for ethanol electrooxidation intermediate. The Pt/SnO2/CNTs catalyst demonstrated the best ethanol electrooxidation activity when considering the synthetic effects of such parameters as the onset oxidation potential, peak current densities and total oxidation area.

Electrochemical Behavior Of Imidacloprid, Jie-Qiong Wang, Wang Zhang, Ming Chen, Guo-Wang Diao

The electrochemical behavior of imidacloprid(IDP)on glassy carbon electrode has been investigated by cyclic voltammetry. The result shows that the electrochemical reduction of IDP is irreversible and controlled by diffusion. At 25 ℃, the numbers of the electrons transferred of IDP in the electrochemical reaction are four. The diffusion coefficient of IDP is 2.44×10?6 cm2?s?1 and the diffusion activation energy is calculated to be 9.33 kJ?mol-1.

Multilayer films of polypyrrole-platinum electrode were fabricated by cyclic voltammetric technique.Electro-oxidation of methanol on this electrode was investigated with the aid of cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry.Results demonstrated that the multilayer of polypyrrole-platinum electrode behaved better electrocatalytic performance for electro-oxidaton of methanol and better poison resistant.Furthermore,with the increase of deposited platinum loadings,the rate controlling step on electro-oxidation reaction of methanol was changed from CO oxidation to sorption-desorption of hydrogen.

The veracity and influence factors in reducing degree on iron-amine complex were tested by cyclic voltammetry.The types of cathode electrolytes including ferric nitrate,triethanolamine,sodium hydroxide and calcium nitrate were optimized.Compared with dip-dyeing coloration method,the cyclic voltammetry method can be used to measure the reducing degree of iron-amine complex more accurately with better stability,easier and faster operation.Potential applications of cyclic voltammetric determination method can be found in the fields of electrochemical dye production and related quality control.

The cyclic voltammetric performance of ZnPcF in N,N-dimethylformaide(DMF),dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO) solution and phosphate buffer solutions(PBS) has been examined.The results showed that four pairs of redox peaks appeared in nonaqueous solvents,and the values of half-wave redox potential were 0.558 V,-0.761 V,-1.034 V,-1.417 V,respectively,exhibiting four quasi-reversible phthalocyanine ligand based one-electron transfers.In PBS only two redox peaks were observed and the values of half-wave redox potential were-0.885 V,-1.104 V,exhibiting irreversible behavior characteristics.Comparing to the zinc phthalocyanine(unsubstitute ZnPc),introducing electron-withdrawing groups-trifluoroethoxyl to the peripheral sites of the phthalocyanines shifts the redox processes of the complex toward positive potentials.

CoAPO-5 molecular sieve was hydrothermally synthesized. The Cobalt ions in CoAPO-5 were coordinated with the SALEN ligend diffusing into the channels of the molecular sieve to form CoSALEN complexes. The electrochemical behaviors and electrocatalysis for dioxygen reduction of the CoSALEN complex immobilized in APO-5 modified glassy carbon electrodes ( GCEs) have been investigated by cyclic voltammetry( CV) and chronoamperometry ( CA) in differrent pH aqueous solutions.
