In this work, we report synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) with an average size of ~6 nm. The aqueous solution of Ag+ ions is reduced using an aqueous extract from orange peel (Citrus Sinensis) at varying pHs. Reduction of Ag+ ions in solution was monitored using UV-visible absorption spectroscopy, and the corresponding surface plasmon resonance of AgNPs at 435 nm.
