Fixed Point Results In Soft Fuzzy Metric Spaces, Sonam Sonam, Ramakant Bhardwaj, Satyendra Narayan Jul 2023

Fixed Point Results In Soft Fuzzy Metric Spaces, Sonam Sonam, Ramakant Bhardwaj, Satyendra Narayan

Publications and Scholarship

The primary objective of the paper is to present the Banach contraction theorem in soft fuzzy metric spaces while taking into consideration a restriction on the soft fuzzy metric between the soft points of the absolute soft set. A new altering distance function, namely the Ψ -contraction function, is introduced on soft fuzzy metric spaces, and some fixed point results are proven by considering soft mappings that comprise Ψ -contraction with the continuity of soft t-norm. In addition to that, some illustrations are supplied for the support of the established soft fuzzy Banach contraction theorem and fixed point results over …

Publications and Scholarship

The research presented in this paper addresses the question: How does the addition of a small amount of LaCoO3 impact the activity of a Co3O4 catalyst? By testing such a catalyst in N2O decomposition under conditions at which the thermal decomposition of Co3O4 to CoO is possible, one gains unique insight into how the two phases interact. The activity of such a catalyst increases in the entire studied temperature range, unlike the activity of the undoped cobalt catalyst which is lower at 850 °C than at 800 °C due to the …

How Time-Fault Ratio Helps In Test Case Prioritization For Regression Testing, Prem Parashar, Arvind Kalia, Rajesh Bhatia

Publications and Scholarship

Regression testing analyzes whether the maintenance of the software has adversely affected its normal functioning. Regression testing is generally performed under the strict time constraints. Due to limited time budget, it is not possible to test the software with all available test cases. Thus, the reordering of the test cases, on the basis of their effectiveness, is always needed. A test prioritization technique, which prioritizes the test cases on the basis of their Time -Fault Ratio (TFR), has been proposed in this paper. The technique tends to maximize the fault detection as the faults are exposed in the ascending order …

Iwanek (Nee Wilczkowska), Leonarda F. Liotta, Shazam Williams, Linjie Hu, Krishelle Calilung, Giuseppe Pantaleo, Zbigniew Kaszkur, Donald W. Kirk, Marek Gliński

Publications and Scholarship

The purpose of the study was to show how a controlled, subtle change of the reducibility of the support by deposition of potassium ions impacts the activity of gold catalysts. Since the activity of supported gold catalysts in carbon monoxide oxidation is known to strongly depend on the reducibility of the support, this reaction was chosen as the model reaction. The results of tests conducted in a simple system in which the only reagents were CO and O2 showed good agreement with the CO activity trend in tests performed in a complex stream of reagents, which also contained CH …

Faculty of Applied Science and Technology - Exceptional Student Work, Applied Computing Theses

Recommendations systems are software solutions for finding high-quality and relevant content for a given user type ranging from online shoppers, to music listeners, to video game players. Traditional recommendation systems use user review data to make recommendations, but we still want recommendations to perform well for new users with no review data. Currently, one of the problems that exists in recommendations is poor recommendation accuracy when only a small amount of data exists for a user, called the cold start problem. In this research we investigate solutions for the cold start problem in video game recommendations and we propose a …
