AbstractFamily firm businesses represent 90% of the global economy and have a 70% first-generation failure rate; business sustainability could have a tremendous impact on the U.S. economy. Such exploration has taken place across a number of different disciplines, including gerontology, housing affordability, and urban planning. ELBOs that can successfully implement eco-friendly programs in their organizations can promote long-term sustainability. Grounded in Freeman’s stakeholder theory, the purpose of this qualitative multiple case study was to identify ELBOs’ implementation strategies for eco-friendly programs.
