The goals and objectives of this research project are to examine the reasoning behind the parents’ decision to provide extra opportunities for their children when they get involved in sports. The second goal and objective are to examine whether or not specialization in a single sport is increased due to the incentive to be the best at a specific sport and if there are any negative consequences due to the specialization aspect. This collection of stories examines Cleveland's athletic teams and injuries that have hindered their quests for championships.
