Purpose: This qualitative study examined the lived experience and motor phenomena that occur in people with disabilities during the occupation of video gaming. Historically, the occupation of video gaming, also referred to as gaming, has not been inclusive of individuals with disabilities due to the design of traditional video gaming controllers. Typical gaming controllers require fine motor control, finger dexterity, and in-hand manipulation to grasp and use the controls on the device. Low vision is an age-related condition that affects many older adults, and may create challenges in everyday activities in older adults. Guide dogs have been shown to be an effective assistive device that can help older adults within their community. This study examines a structured protocol to measure the effects of daily individualized use of Therapeutic Listening - Quickshifts (TL-Q) used to improve occupational performance in children with learning and developmental disabilities. The study identifies a standardized practice-based evidence procedure to measure the outcomes of implementing TL-Q within traditional OT practice. OTs worldwide are using sound-based therapies (SBTs) despite limited supporting evidence available regarding the productivity of these interventions. The Anterior Cruciate Ligament has been studied in many different ways and become injured more with the increase in sports participation by both male and female athletes. “ACL injuries are 9x more common in female athletes than male athletes and over 1.4 million women have been suffered from the ACL rupture which is twice the rate of the previous decade” (Hewett, 2010). ACL injuries are known to occur more in females than males because of differences in anatomy, knee alignment, muscle strength, and conditioning.
