Studies have demonstrated the benefits of breastfeeding (BF) on children’s cognitive function and language development. However, most cognitive and language tools used in these studies have limited ability to identify children’s language development delays. The Language Development Survey (LDS) is expected to provide detailed information on children’s language development. This study aimed to examine the association between BF duration and children’s LDS. A questionnaire was administered to 286 BF mothers to obtain information on their BF duration, and LDS was employed to assess children’s language development. The lactational amenorrhea method (LAM) is a natural contraceptive that is highly effective after the three essential criteria are fulfilled. However, there is a significantly low adoption resulting from poor knowledge and correct practices. This study aimed to determine the correlation between knowledge and behavior of breastfeeding mothers on breastfeeding as a natural contraceptive. This was an analytic observational study with a cross-sectional design involving 89 breastfeeding mothers and was performed from January to March 2018. Pre-lacteal feeding is widely known as a distraction to exclusive breastfeeding, and the malpractice continues to be prevalent in Indonesia. Therefore, this study aimed to explore the potential determinants of pre-lacteal feeding among mothers of infants below 24 months. A sample of 6,455 mother-infant pairs from the 2017 Indonesia Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS) was used. Also, multivariate logistic regression was employed to identify factors associated with pre-lacteal feeding practice. Kehamilan remaja di Indonesia cukup tinggi. Kecamatan Sewon memiliki angka persalinan remaja tertinggi di Kabupaten Bantul pada tahun 2015-2016. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi pemberian ASI eksklusif pada ibu usia remaja di Kecamatan Sewon, Kabupaten Bantul. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain potong lintang dan sampel penelitian berjumlah 45 orang ibu usia remaja yang mempunyai bayi usia 6-24 bulan. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner terstruktur. Analisis bivariat menggunakan kai kuadrat dan fisher’s exact test, sedangkan analisis multivariat menggunakan regresi logistik. Riset Kesehatan Dasar tahun 2013 menyebutkan angka insiden diare pada balita di Indonesia sebesar 6,7%. Aceh merupakan provinsi dengan insiden diare tertinggi, mencapai 10,2%. Profil Kesehatan Aceh menunjukkan bahwa secara umum terjadi peningkatan penyakit infeksi seperti influenza, tuberkulosis, dan diare dalam kurun waktu tujuh tahun (2006 - 2012). Penyakit tersebut dapat dicegah dengan pemberian ASI yang berperan dalam peningkatan kekebalan tubuh. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan riwayat pemberian ASI dengan penyakit infeksi pada balita. Anjuran World Health Organization (WHO) agar ibu menyusui minimal selama 6 bulan masih belum tercapai. Studi ini bertujuan untuk meneliti kekuatan psikologis ibu yang berhasil menyusui lebih dari 6 bulan. Metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dilakukan pada enam ibu yang diambil secara purposif dengan kriteria menyusui lebih dari 6 bulan. Hasil wawancara mendalam dianalisis dan hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa kesadaran ibu tentang keunggulan dan kekuatan spiritual dalam air susu ibu (ASI) serta dukungan, afeksi positif, sikap tangguh, tujuan terarah, dan kesejahteraan menjadi kekuatan psikologis mereka. Hasil ini dapat digunakan sebagai masukan bagi promosi kesehatan untuk ibu menyusui.
