• To compare the difference between IPE care and standard care (SC) groups regarding dental patients' perceptions of knowledge gained about tobacco cessation, intentions to quit tobacco use, and quit attempts at follow-up.

Based on the link between tobacco use and oral health and the frequent contact between dental providers and patients, the dental clinic is an ideal setting to address tobacco use.1

Prevention of problem gambling hinges on having research that clearly identifies the variables that are etiologically involved, their temporal sequence, and their causal connections. Longitudinal research is the best way of disentangling the chronology and causal relationships between variables. The present research describes the results of the two major longitudinal studies of gambling in Canada: the Quinte Longitudinal Study (QLS) (n = 4,121) and the Leisure, Lifestyle, Lifecycle Project (LLLP) (n = 1,808). The Research and Scholarship Symposium (2013-2019)

The purpose of the study was to better understand if social support has an effect at all on the athlete’s compliance in coming in to do their rehabilitation during an injury. Those who participated in this study were from the colleges and universities in the state of Ohio. The participants were collegiate athletes who were in a rehabilitation program for six or more weeks and had returned to play. Of the 56 surveys returned, 18 (32.14%) of those were fully completed, and nine (16.07%) of those, consisting of seven (77.78%) females and two (22.22%) males, met the criteria set. Athletes …

Physical activity is a great coping mechanism for a student stress during college, along with other positive health benefits. However, it may not be the only method to manage stress as a college student, according to my research. The present study explores the relation between sleep restriction and alcohol use and the neural substrates that result from chronic behaviors, such as transcription factors. Transcription factor activity is suggested as a possible outcome of chronic behaviors, such as addiction. Sleep is discussed as possible mediating factor in the relationship between specific transcription factors and alcohol. Analysis will focus on brain areas related to both sleep and reward.
