Single Soft Tissue Support Versus Dual Tooth-Tissue Support For Clasp-Less Mesial Implant Retained Mandibular Class I Rpd: Cross-Over Clinical Study, Aisha Z. Mostafa Jun 2023

Single Soft Tissue Support Versus Dual Tooth-Tissue Support For Clasp-Less Mesial Implant Retained Mandibular Class I Rpd: Cross-Over Clinical Study, Aisha Z. Mostafa

Mansoura Journal of Dentistry

Objective: To evaluate the single soft tissue support versus dual tooth-tissue support for mesial implant retained RPD. Materials and Methods: This clinical cross-over study included 10 partially edentulous patients with the only remaining mandibular six anterior teeth. Every patient received two mandibular implants at the 1st premolar region. Two mandibular implants' retained partial overdentures were constructed with two different support concepts, two different designs, opposing a maxillary single denture. One of the dentures was done with a design based mainly on soft tissue support but the other denture was done with a dual tooth-tissue support design. The effects of each …

Effect Of Different Implants Number And Distributions Used To Assist Mandibular Complete Overdenture: A Study Of Bite, Eslam Helmi, Elsayed Abdelkhalek, Ahmed Habib Jun 2023

Effect Of Different Implants Number And Distributions Used To Assist Mandibular Complete Overdenture: A Study Of Bite, Eslam Helmi, Elsayed Abdelkhalek, Ahmed Habib

Mansoura Journal of Dentistry

Objective: This within-patient study aimed to evaluate the influence of different numbers and distribution of implants used to assist mandibular complete overdenture on a patient's maximum biting force and masticatory efficiency. Materials and Methods: Six healthy completely edentulous patients were selected for this study. Each patient received a conventional complete denture then four implants were installed in the canine and premolar areas bilaterally. The implants were delayed loaded by mandibular overdenture using locator attachments, patients were classified into Group I: anterior two implants loaded by the overdenture; Group II: posterior two implants loaded by the overdenture; and Group III: four …

Two Different Treatment Options For Cad\Cam Constructed Mandibular Class I Rpds. Clinical And Radiographic Evaluation Of Abutment Teeth Tissue Health., Nermeen Elsayed El-Khamisy, Aisha Zakaria Hashem Mostafa Jan 2023

Two Different Treatment Options For Cad\Cam Constructed Mandibular Class I Rpds. Clinical And Radiographic Evaluation Of Abutment Teeth Tissue Health., Nermeen Elsayed El-Khamisy, Aisha Zakaria Hashem Mostafa

Mansoura Journal of Dentistry

Objective: This study was conducted to assess the abutment teeth for digitally constructed clasp-retained and attachment-retained removable partial dentures (RPD) in cases with a class I partially edentulous mandible. Material and methods: In this clinical trial, throughout six years, 10 patients each received two mandibular class I RPDs that were created using computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD-CAM) over six years. The first one was clasp retained RPD (Group1) for 3 years then extra-coronal attachment with cantilever retained RPD for an additional 3 years (Group 2). The abutment's clinical parameters (pocket depth, bleeding index, and plaque index) and alveolar bone …

Comparative Study Of Protrusive Record Accuracy With And Without George Gauge For Dentulous Cases, Aisha Z. Mostafa, Noha H. El-Shaheed Dec 2022

Comparative Study Of Protrusive Record Accuracy With And Without George Gauge For Dentulous Cases, Aisha Z. Mostafa, Noha H. El-Shaheed

Mansoura Journal of Dentistry

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the accuracy of the George gauge in protrusive records. Materials and Methods: This clinical trial includes a total of 12 dentulous subjects aged 20 to 40 years with no signs of muscular disease or temporomandibular joint disorders were chosen. For each patient, two different protrusive records were created, one with and one without the George gauge, using polyvinyl siloxane materials. The accuracy of these two protrusive records was evaluated by measuring the amount of midline shift in both records with a digital calliper. Then these Protrusive records were used to programme the articulator and …

Soft Metal Versus Laser Melting Metal Framework Used For Mandibular All On Four Implant Supported Fixed Complete Denture, Noha H. Rashed, Noha H. El Shaheed, Wael M. Said Ahmed, Salah A. Hegazy Dec 2022

Soft Metal Versus Laser Melting Metal Framework Used For Mandibular All On Four Implant Supported Fixed Complete Denture, Noha H. Rashed, Noha H. El Shaheed, Wael M. Said Ahmed, Salah A. Hegazy

Mansoura Journal of Dentistry

Objective: To radiographically evaluate the peri-implant bone height changes eri-implantin mandibular all on-four implant supported fixed complete denture (ISFCD) regarding metal framework fabrication technique either with milling from soft metal block or additive manufacturing using laser melting. Materials and Methods: Ten completely edentulous patients were rehabilitated with mandibular all on-four ISFCD. Computer-guided surgical procedures were followed for placement of implants. Patients were allocated randomly into two groups according to the framework fabrication technique. Group I frameworks were milled from soft metal block and group II frameworks were fabricated with additive manufacturing using laser melting. Vertical bone height changes around supporting …

Comparison Between Linear And Curved Arrangement Of Telescopic Attachment Used For 4 Implants Mandibular Overdenture: A Study Of Clinical Deformity Of Denture Base, Ahmed G. Ghozy, Osama M. Askar, Ahmed A. Habib Jun 2022

Habib

Mansoura Journal of Dentistry

Objective: The aim of this study was clinical evaluation of stresses developed in complete mandibular overdenture assisted by four implants using telescopic attachment placed in curved or linear configurations. Materials and Methods: Twelve completely edentulous participants were selected for the study and each patient received four implants. All patients were into 2 equal groups regarding implants position: The first group (Linear design): The four implants were installed at lateral incisor and canine areas. The second group (Curved design): the four implants were installed bilaterally in the interforaminal region of the mandible (at canine and second premolar areas). The implants were …
