Background: Hyperuricaemia plays a significant role in the development and pathogenesis of several metabolic and systemic disorders including metabolic syndrome, hypertension, stroke and atherosclerosis. Introduction: Alopecia areata (AA) is an autoimmune disease characterised by non-scarring hair loss in single or multiple areas of the scalp. Background: Urolithiasis is the most common disease of urinary tract found worldwide. There are several approaches for the treatment of urolithiasis that include the use of various synthetic and natural drugs and/or surgery in the conventional system of medicine. Objective: This study was taken up to evaluate the efficacy of Lycopodium clavatum in the management of urolithiasis. Objective: To evaluate the role of homoeopathic medicines in the management of depressive episodes. Material and Methods: A prospective, non-comparative, open-label observational study was carried out from October 2005 to September 2010, by the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH) (India), at - the Central Research Institute CRI (H), Kottayam. Patients who were 20-60 years of age, suffering from mood disorders were screened for inclusion and exclusion criteria.
