Management Of Tinea Corporis With The Minimum Doses Of Homoeopathic Nosode Psorinum: A Case Report, Punam Kumari, Shivam Kumar, Renu Verma

Indian Journal of Research in Homoeopathy

Introduction: Tinea corporis (TC) is the most common superficial fungal infection of the skin that invades and grows in dead keratin. The topical treatment causes suppression of TC and with the effect of it, a repeated episode of relapse occurs, which hampers the quality of life of the patient. Case Summary: This case of TC, with extensive spread on the body, demonstrates the curative effect of homoeopathic medicine with minimum dosage. A 64-year-old male diagnosed with TC was treated successfully with individualised homoeopathic medicine for seven months. The outcome was assessed through before-and-after-treatment photographs. Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI) score …

Role Of Carcinosinum In Autism Spectrum Disorder- A Case Series, Sreeja K R Nair, Deepthi Gilla, Mohan N. Devasia

Indian Journal of Research in Homoeopathy

Introduction: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a pervasive developmental disorder having the potential to cause lifelong disability. Individualised homoeopathic remedies are found to be safe and effective in the management of ASD. Cases Summary: Three cases of ASD treated with Carcinosinum at the Child psychiatry unit of the National Homoeopathy Research Institute in Mental Health, Kottayam are presented to show the action of this nosode in ASD. Indian Scale for Assessment of Autism (ISAA), an indigenous tool, was used for the assessment of severity at baseline and subsequent follow-up visits. Remarkable improvement was observed in these three cases. After one …

Homoeopathy In The Management Of Infectious Diseases: Different Facets Of Its Use And Implications For The Future, Roja Varanasi, Debadatta Nayak

Indian Journal of Research in Homoeopathy

Background: Infectious diseases are a major challenge to humanity and public health at large. Objective: The aim of this study is to conduct a systematic narrative review of the clinical research evidence for homeopathy in the management of infectious diseases. Methods: A comprehensive search of major biomedical databases: Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, Pubmed, Core-Hom, AYUSH Research Portal) and other individual journal sites were conducted. Relevant research published between 1999 and 2019 was categorised by study type, clinical condition and causative pathogen. Results: The literature search of two decades (1999–2019) gathered 86 articles: Meta-analysis (n = 1), systematic reviews (n …

Preparation And Standardisation Of Plasmodium Falciparum Nosode, Rajesh Shah Dec 2019

Preparation And Standardisation Of Plasmodium Falciparum Nosode, Rajesh Shah

Indian Journal of Research in Homoeopathy

Background: Malaria officinalis, a Homoeopathic preparation used against malaria, was prepared from decomposed vegetable matter from a marshy area by G. W. Bowen in 1862. No scientific published material is available on the source of any malaria-related nosode. There is a need to develop the new nosode using the organisms. The author has developed the nosode from Plasmodium falciparum parasites, and the detailed method of preparation is described in this manuscript. Objective: Preparation and standardisation of Homoeopathic nosode prepared from P. falciparum parasites, which could be explored for further research and therapeutic efficacy. Materials and Methods: The most widely cultivated …

Clinical Trial For Evaluation Of A Human Immunodeficiency Virus Nosode In The Treatment For Human Immunodeficiency Virus-Infected Individuals, Rajesh Shah Mar 2015

Clinical Trial For Evaluation Of A Human Immunodeficiency Virus Nosode In The Treatment For Human Immunodeficiency Virus-Infected Individuals, Rajesh Shah

Indian Journal of Research in Homoeopathy

Introduction: Identifying the need for strengthening of the immune system, the investigator has developed new Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) nosode and evaluated its effect on HIV positive individuals through a clinical trial. Methods: Standardized and the scientific method of HIV nosode preparation has been described and documented. Thirty-seven HIV-infected persons were registered for the trial, and ten participants were dropped out from the study, so the effect of HIV nosode 30C and 50C, was concluded on 27 participants under the trial. Results: Out of 27 participants, 7 (25.93%) showed a sustained reduction in the viral load from 12 to 24 …

Scientific Method Of Preparing Homoeopathic Nosodes, Rajesh Shah

Indian Journal of Research in Homoeopathy

Introduction: Nosodes are homoeopathic preparations sourced from biological materials such as diseased tissues, organisms, cultures (bacteria, fungi, and viruses), or parasites, or from decomposed products from humans or animals. More than forty-five major nosodes have been in use since 1830 but no clear guidelines regarding their preparation are available. Objective : To standardize the method of preparation of nosodes using modern technology and lay down clear guidelines for the same. Materials and Methods : Biological material identification such as culture of organism, separation of required pure fraction, quantification, standardization, dilutions, potentisation method, and safe use of nosodes were documented in …
