Introduction: Take-home naloxone (THN) is being made available across rural Appalachia to curb opioid overdose fatalities. Despite this initiative, some opioid users do not possess naloxone, and if they do, do not administer it to others.

Purpose: Research findings on risk factors that contribute to opioid overdose are presented. These factors, identified in a sample of 16 overdose cases, are (1) early onset age of opioid use; (2) progressive opioid use; (3) a transition from pain medication to heroin and fentanyl; (4) fears of being arrested at a naloxone intervention if first responders are contacted, and (5) limited knowledge of …

Super Parents is a group-based, Extension-led parenting program developed to enhance the parent-child relationship. Our narrative review assessed clinical trials after 2018 to identify the trends of outcome metrics in the field OHCA research. We performed a search of the PubMed database from 1 January 2019 to 22 September 2023. Prospective clinical trials involving adult humans were eligible. Purpose: Detection ASD and intervention in superior middle level students at Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (UANL), Mexico.

Description: Upon admission to superior middle level at UANL, modified Gilliam Asperger's disorder scale (GADS) was applied to parents in a Program to identify behavioral characteristics associated to ASD.

Parents of students with positive GADS were informed and students were scheduled for standard psychological testing in order to evaluate cognitive process, study habits, social anxiety and self-esteem, prior to an intervention.

This study examined the effectiveness of an educational intervention for healthcare clinicians to increase knowledge and awareness of non-benzodiazepine treatments for the treatment of anxiety and panic disorders. The target population were healthcare clinicians in a metropolitan area that commonly treat anxiety and panic disorders. Clinicians from different specialties were recruited to participate and evaluated on their knowledge of benzodiazepines on a 3-question pretest survey using a Likert scale. The incidence of sarcopenia, a geriatric syndrome characterized by the progressive and generalized loss of muscle quantity or quality, increases with age and is associated with adverse health and quality of life outcomes. A 12-week strength training intervention program (STIP) was designed to improve measures of muscle mass, muscle strength, physical performance, and quality of life in elderly patients with sarcopenia. Data were collected on these measures at 4-week intervals over 12 weeks. Results showed that the STIP was an effective intervention for reducing the characteristics associated with sarcopenia. The collaborating practitioners, Catherine (Cate), Heather, and Miriam, were interested in the current and relevant evidence surrounding factors impacting handwriting legibility with children. Student researchers systematically reviewed the literature from 2007-2023 to address the question, "What are the main factors that affect or correlate with handwriting legibility for school- aged children K-5?” Out of the 936 articles screened, researchers found 36 articles that met the inclusion criteria.
