BACKGROUND: Aspirin is a well-established therapy for the secondary prevention of cardiovascular events. However, its role in the primary prevention of cardiovascular disease is unclear, especially in older persons, who have an increased risk.

METHODS: From 2010 through 2014, we enrolled community-dwelling men and women in Australia and the United States who were 70 years of age or older (or ≥65 years of age among blacks and Hispanics in the United States) and did not have cardiovascular disease, dementia, or disability. BACKGROUND: In the primary analysis of the Aspirin in Reducing Events in the Elderly (ASPREE) trial, now published in the Journal, we report that the daily use of aspirin did not provide a benefit with regard to the primary end point of disability-free survival among older adults. A numerically higher rate of the secondary end point of death from any cause was observed with aspirin than with placebo.

Abstract

Problem: The rapid nurse turnover and improper use of the golden hour flowsheet are some of the factors that affect the timing of antibiotic administration. A review of 38 patient charts was done and only shows 20% received antibiotics within 1 hour.

Context: This microsystem is a 22-bed neonatal intensive care unit with an average of 900 admissions per year. The team is composed of doctors, nurses, respiratory therapist, and pharmacists. This research study analyzed the personality types among the Athletic Training (AT) profession. With no research present in the field of Athletic Training, research from similar fields like Physical Therapy, and Occupational Therapy were referenced throughout the research process. Throughout the literature review process it was observed that previous researchers used the Meyers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) assessment tool to identify personality types. Objective: To observe inpatient satisfaction at different public sector hospitals of Karachi, Pakistan.
Methods: A cross sectional study was carried out during 2010-2012 in four major public sector hospitals of Karachi. A total of 710 patients completed the study. Responses were gathered in a self-structured questionnaire that comprised of four dimensions of satisfaction with doctor, staff, administration and treatment. Average Score of each dimension was taken and compared using one way analysis of variance.
Result: Satisfaction with doctors, staff and administration of provincial and federal hospitals were comparatively similar (P > 0.05). However, satisfaction with treatment significantly differed in all four …
