”Training of sitting balance is one of the major treatment programs for rehabilitation of complete thoracic spinal cord injured patients. In the literature, there are only a few objective and quantitative tests for sitting balance, and they are not appropriate for patients with spinal cord injury. The Functional Reach Test was modified by Lynch and colleagues to measure sitting balance. The study of the Modi-fied Functional Reach Test demonstrated that it provides reliable measurement of sitting balance in patients with spinal cord injury.
