Transitional Cell Carcinoma Of The Urinary Bladder In A Dog : A Case Report, Chollada Buranakarl, Phiwipha Kamonrat, Rachod Tantilertcharoen Mar 1998

Transitional Cell Carcinoma Of The Urinary Bladder In A Dog : A Case Report, Chollada Buranakarl, Phiwipha Kamonrat, Rachod Tantilertcharoen

The Thai Journal of Veterinary Medicine

A urinary bladder mass was diagnosed in a 14-year-old uncastrated male mixed breed dog presented to the Small Animal Teaching Hospital, Faculty of Veterinary Science, Chulalongkorn University. The dog had periodic hematuria which had been present for eight months without any abnormalities on complete blood count and all other blood chemistry. Radiographic examination revealed a prostate gland enlargement with evidence of irregular thickening of the urinary bladder mucosa without any cystic calculi. Antibiotics and hemostatic drugs were given and hematuria ceased periodically. With a history of concurrent hematuria and an elevation of both blood urea nitrogen (109 mg%) and creatinine …

Bizarre Blood Flow Patterns Detected By Transvaginal Pulsed And Color Doppler Ultrasonography In Ectopic Pregnancies, Eyüp Eki̇ci̇, Kubilay Vi̇cdan, Muammer Doğan, Kazım Aral, Tuğrul Aydoğdu, Oya Gökmen

Turkish Journal of Medical Sciences

The characteristics of blood flow patterns detected by transvaginal pulsed and color Doppler ultrasonography were evoluated in ectopic pregnanacies. Two hundred and fifteen patients with surgically and histopathologically confirmed ectopic preg-nancies were included in this study. Of 215 patients, 113 (52.5 %) had an ectopic trophoblastic flow. 106 of them (93.8 %)showed a typical trophoblastic flow characterized by a high-velocity and low-impedance flow, whereas 7 (6.2 %) had bizarre blood waveforms including high-impedance and reversed diastolic flow. It was concluded that although most of the cases with ectopic pregnancy demonstrate a typical flow, a wide range of flow waveforms including …

Transvaginal Color Doppler Analysis Of Benign Uterine Leiomyomas, Nuri Danişman, Eyüp Eki̇ci̇, Ahmet Z. Işik, C. Gürkan Zorlu, Oya Gökmen Jan 1998

Transvaginal Color Doppler Analysis Of Benign Uterine Leiomyomas, Nuri Danişman, Eyüp Eki̇ci̇, Ahmet Z. Işik, C. Gürkan Zorlu, Oya Gökmen

Turkish Journal of Medical Sciences

In this study, the blood flow velocity waveforms of the leiomyoma, uterine artery and myometrium with color doppler ultrasound were analyzed in patients with postoperative diagnosis of benign uterine leiomyomas and 15 healthy volunteers as a control group were enrolled into the study. The lowest RI and PI values obtained from uterine leiomyomas were 0.39 and 0.93. Mean RI and PI values obtained from uterine leiomyomas were 0.39 and 0.93. Mean RI of mometrial blood flow was 0.57, while mean PI was 0.98. These measurements were done by using the color flows that were obtained from either center visualized and …
