The global burden of persistent pain is substantial, affecting up to 30% of the world's population. Despite growing awareness, challenges persist with accurate pain measurement, limiting research and clinical efforts. One method to assess pain perception is the Pain-Pressure Threshold (PPT), indicating the pressure at which pain is reported. Background: Osteoarthritis (OA) is a degenerative disease that mainly affects articular cartilage of joints. OA most commonly affects the knees and causes pain and reduces quality of life in older adults. Blood flow restriction (BFR) occludes arterial and venous flow during exercise using a blood pressure cuff placed on the proximal lower limb. This creates an intramuscular hypoxic environment which promotes muscle hypertrophy. High load training can cause pain and inflammation in knee OA patients due to increased stress. BFR can allow patients with knee OA to use lower loads to achieve beneficial effects of rehabilitation.

Background: Greater trochanteric pain syndrome (GTPS) is characterized by chronic lateral hip pain and dysfunction. While psychosocial measures of other tendinopathies have been gaining traction, GTPS is less well studied. We sought to characterize the morbidity upon presentation of GTPS and compared it to patients with end-stage, hip osteoarthritis (OA) awaiting total hip arthroplasty (THA).

A ganglion cyst is a benign fluid-filled sac that develops idiopathically on the dorsal aspect of the wrist by the joint capsule or tendon sheath. It is diagnosed clinically, with MRI and ultrasound used for confirmation. Treatment includes immobilization, aspiration, hydrossection, steroid or hyaluronidase injection, and surgery. Although uncommon, Dorsal Ganglion Cysts (DGC) can lead to Dorsal Wrist Impingement (DWI) syndrome. This syndrome is caused by a thickening of the wrist capsule from overuse, injury, or repetitive procedures. We report a case of a 45-year-old male who presented to the Emergency Department with acute onset left testicular pain and was diagnosed with left sided segmental testicular infarction. The differential diagnosis of acute onset testicular/scrotal pain can include critical urological diagnoses such as testicular torsion and testicular tumors. In the absence of global flow disruption on ultrasound Doppler, emergent surgical intervention is not needed. While ultrasound aids in the Emergency Department’s management of acute testicular pain, it does not rule out the need for an additional outpatient work-up or imaging. Patient: A 28-year-old male with a history of cryptogenic stroke, bilateral lower extremity compartment syndrome, and severe left foot pain secondary to emergent fasciotomy.

Case Description: This patient presented to the office with a chief complaint of left foot pain. Past medical history was significant for cryptogenic stroke and bilateral lower extremity compartment syndrome, status post emergent fasciotomy. Severe left foot pain began after emergent fasciotomy, and he required a walker for ambulation. The clinical progression of the disorder involves periods of acute exacerbation and remission that are cyclic in nature.
