The need for rehabilitation services in nursing homes (NH) for the elderly is increasing each year, and this need is fulfilled both with ordinary clinical rehabilitation center visits, as well as community-based rehabilitation (CBR) inside the facility. However, a proper situation analysis is needed to establish a well-delivered CBR program in the NH, a niche to be fulfilled in this study. Periodic paralysis hypokalemia is a muscle weakness that can be caused by hyperthyroidism due to Graves’ disease. The prevalence reaches 10% of patients with periodic paralysis hypokalemia with symptoms of thyrotoxicosis. Graves’ disease is an immune system disorder that can cause other organ dysfunction, such as autoimmune hepatitis. Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is still a burden on worldwide health issues affecting about 11-13% of the general population. Chronic kidney disease-mineral and bone disorder (CKD-MBD) is a common complication in CKD, which occurs early in the disease, and progresses as kidney function deteriorates. With declining kidney function, mineral homeostasis becomes progressively dysregulated, including alterations in several parameters such as calcium, phosphate, intact parathyroid hormone (iPTH). Changes in these parameters are associated with bone disorders and vascular abnormalities, which are strongly correlated with increased cardiovascular (CV) morbidity and mortality, and overall mortality. Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has caused series of lockdown in Malaysia which led to the significant financial impact to dental practitioner in Malaysia. Objectives: The aim of this study is to investigate factors affecting dental practice and its implication to financial situation during the pandemic in Malaysia. Methods: Registered Malaysian dental practitioners were invited to participate in online questionnaire via google form. Descriptive and Pearson’s chi-square test analysis were conducted (p<0.05). Background: Acne vulgaris (AV) is a multifactorial disorder characterized by the formation of open and closed comedones, papules, pustules, nodules, and cysts. Oxidative stress plays a role in the pathogenesis of AV. Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS), especially lipid peroxides (LPO), plays a role in mediating acne inflammation. Appropriate treatment is crucial and may affect remission time and morbidities. These guidelines were developed by the Indonesian Society of Dermatology and Venereology – Kelompok Studi Psoriasis Indonesia (INSDV-KSPI) to provide updated decision-making algorithms for the biologic and non-biologic systemic agents for the treatment of adult patients with plaque psoriasis.

Background: Acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory disease of the pilosebaceous follicle with polymorphic clinical manifestation typically found on facial, neck and/or back area. The pathogenesis is complex and multifactorial. Management of acne vulgaris is determined based on its severity. Sauropus androgynus (L.) Merr. (Phyllanthaceae) is a green vegetable. It is rich in natural antioxidant compounds such as phenolics and flavonoids. The pre-extraction preparation can affect the results of extracting compounds from natural materials. This study aims to determine the effect of pre-extraction procedures, including sample form (fresh/dried), drying process (oven-drying/indirect sunlight-drying/air-drying), and particle size (ground/powdered) on total phenolic and flavonoid levels of ethanolic extracts of S. androgynus leaves and their antioxidant activity against DPPH radicals.
