The purpose of my community action project is to expose college students to the ugly truth about e-cigarettes. Even though the popularity with e-cigarettes among teenagers and young adults is alarming high, many still do not know what these devices are doing to their bodies. I plan to inform teenagers of the known health risks associated with e-cigarette use through multiple resources both around campus and virtually. Healthcare providers in Puerto Rico creatively improvised emergency solutions to continue delivering care while recovering from Hurricane Maria.
