Domestic violence has been deemed a direct invasion and violation of human rights by the World Health Organization (2021). Due to the continuous rise in cases of domestic violence, national organizations like the United States Preventative Services Task Force (USPSTF) have recommended that healthcare providers screen patients for this abuse. The purpose of this study was to reinforce the current screening procedure and protocol to ensure that each patient was screened for domestic violence before being discharged from the hospital.
