This article presents an immediate evaluation of a professional development course in community health literacy for Brazilian nurses. An evaluation based on an applied thematic analysis of the accounts of 63 attendees in three Brazilian cities (January 2020) was guided by the following themes: (a) expansion of understanding about community health literacy as a pillar for planning and providing health care; (b) encouragement of innovation in research and/or practice; and (c) plans to incorporate the information shared in the course into professional projects. The incidence of sarcopenia, a geriatric syndrome characterized by the progressive and generalized loss of muscle quantity or quality, increases with age and is associated with adverse health and quality of life outcomes. A 12-week strength training intervention program (STIP) was designed to improve measures of muscle mass, muscle strength, physical performance, and quality of life in elderly patients with sarcopenia. Data were collected on these measures at 4-week intervals over 12 weeks. Results showed that the STIP was an effective intervention for reducing the characteristics associated with sarcopenia. HIV has globally infected over 37.9 million people, of which 28.2 million (73%) are on antiretroviral treatment, and 66% of those on treatment are virally suppressed. In South Africa, however, low rate of viral suppression (47%) among people living with HIV is a major health problem that has continued to fuel HIV prevalence. A cross-sectional quantitative research design was used to investigate the relationship between treatment comorbidities and viral suppression among HIV-infected adults aged 18–49 who were diabetic, had cancer, or tuberculosis in Johannesburg. Compassion fatigue, or secondary traumatic stress, is a state of physical and mental exhaustion caused by an inability to cope with the everyday environment that reduces the ability of the nurse to provide high-quality health care to a patient. The purpose of this staff education project, guided by Selye’s general adaption syndrome , was a 6-week, 30-second mindfulness exercise program to promote stress reduction for cardiac step-down and medical-surgical nurses. Some hospital administrators experience yearly loss of human capital, resulting in economic and noneconomic consequences that require resource reallocation to sustain operations. Grounded in the cultural humility theory, the purpose of this quantitative correlational study was to examine the relationship between nurses’ perceptions of their nurse managers’ (a) openness, (b) self-awareness, (c) egolessness, (d) self-reflection and critique, (e) supportive interaction, and nurse turnover intention. Because LAST is a low-volume, high-risk event, clinical exposure is lacking, creating a knowledge gap among perianesthesia nurses. AbstractVaccination hesitancy is high among African Americans and other people of color. The practice gap addressed in this project was the lack of a culturally sensitive clinical guideline for vaccination education relevant to the African American community. The practice-focused question was answered by developing an evidence-based Clinical Vaccination Education Guideline for the African American Community (CVEGAAC) that was validated by a group of four content experts using the Appraisal of Guidelines, Research, and Evaluation tool. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Healthy People 2020 breastfeeding goal immediately after birth of 81.9% was surpassed in 2016, with approximately 83.8% of babies breastfed shortly after delivery. However, by seven days post birth, this number decreased to 82.9%, reduced even more for infants who were exclusively breastfed to 64.7%. Local research has shown that breastfeeding decreases at one week after discharge, which may be due, in part, to the lack of nurses' knowledge related to breastfeeding.
