Background: FAP is a rare genetic disorder classically inherited in an autosomal dominant pattern, which affects about 1 in 8 300 individuals (1). The Hispanic population has limited data regarding the spectrum of FAP mutation and clinical manifestation, although there is significant anecdotal evidence that the prevalence might be higher, with one only known Hispanic familial cancer registry in Puerto Rico (2).

In the US, colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths. According to the 2018 CDC Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System survey, 68.8% of US adults between 50 and 75 were up to date on colorectal screening (CRCS) across all screening modalities. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, screening has dropped even further and is still 50% below pre-pandemic levels. At Jefferson, our CRCS rate is below the national average at 55.4%. Introduction: Anterior cruciate ligament injuries occur over 200,000 times annually in the United States alone (Brophy, et al. 2009). This injury strains the healthcare system and affects the players, teams, parents, and the organization they are a part of. There have been, however, clinically researched risk factors that predispose athletes to ACL injury (Gignac, et al. 2015; Laible, et al. 2014).
