The problem of this study was designed to examine students at Saint Cloud State University that participated in individual and group exercise programs who were members of the fitness center and group fitness classes to determine to what extent motivation affected exercise choice.
A major portion of the review of literature focuses on motivation. The review also includes an examination of the health of the nation, individual and group exercise, exercise frequency, duration, and intensity, campus recreation centers, and self determination theory.
