Filaggrin (FLG) is a structural component of the stratum corneum that is essential for maintaining the barrier function of the skin and for the formation of natural moisturizing factors. 6,7-Dimethoxy-2,2-dimethyl-2H-chromene (Agerarin) is a bioactive compound derived from Ageratum houstonianum, a plant that is used as a traditional medicine to treat skin diseases. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of agerarin on skin inflammation in a dinitrochlorobenzene (DNCB)-induced atopic dermatitis mouse model.
