Four macrofungi taxa (Conocybe filaris (Fr.) Kühner, Hygrocybe glutinipes (J.E.Lange) R.Haller Aar. var. glutinipes, Inocybe calospora Quél., and I. margaritispora (Berk.) Sacc.) collected from Trabzon province are reported from Turkey for the first time. Comments on their habitats and substrata and a short diagnosis are provided for each new taxon new to Turkey.

Macrofungal Diversity Associated With The Scale-Leaf Juniper Trees, Juniperus Excelsa And J. Foetidissima, Distributed In Turkey, Hasan Hüseyi̇n Doğan, Mi̇tko Karadelev, Mustafa Işiloğlu

In this article, an attempt has been made to establish the qualitative composition of macromycetes in the communities of scale-leaf juniper, Juniperus excelsa M.Bieb. and J. foetidissima Willd., distributed in Turkey. A total of 127 species of macrofungi were registered, 2 belonging to Ascomycota and 125 to Basidiomycota. Of those, 69 species were collected in Juniperus excelsa stands, 23 in J. foetidissima stands, and 35 species in both juniper stands. The ecologic status for the fungal species is as follows: 30 lignicolous and 39 terricolous in J. excelsa stands, 19 lignicolous and 4 terricolous in J. foetidissima, and 31 lignicolous …

New Records Of Lichens And Lichenicolous Fungi For Russia And The Caucasus, Gennadii Urbanavichus, Aminat Gabibova, Aziz Ismailov

Four species of lichens and 11 species of lichenicolous fungi are reported from the Republic of Daghestan for the first time for the Caucasus region. Of these, 7 taxa are new to Russia: Caloplaca badioreagens Tretiach & Muggia, Caloplaca polycarpa (A.Massal.) Zahlbr., Lichenothelia renobalesiana D.Hawksw. & V.Atienza, Stigmidium rouxianum Calat. & Triebel, Toninia episema (Nyl.) Timdal, Toninia leptogii Timdal, and Verrucaria latericola Erichsen. Comments on their geographic distribution, habitats, substrate, and comparisons with morphologically similar taxa are presented.

The material of this study comprises macrofungi specimens collected from different localities in Kemaliye district (Erzincan, Turkey) in 2006 and 2007. As a result of field and laboratory studies, 106 taxa under 35 families belonging to the classes Ascomycetes and Basidiomycetes are described: 3 of them, namely Psathyrella panaeoloides (Maire) Arnolds, Galerina stylifera var. stylifera (G.F.Atk.) A.H.Sm. & Singer, and Inocybe amblyspora Kühner, are new records for Turkey.

Anthracobia melaloma, Scutellinia barlae (Pyronemataceae), and Pseudoplectania vogesiaca (Sarcosomataceae) ascomycetous members of macrofungi collected from Muğla and Antalya provinces are recorded for the first time from Turkey. Anthracobia and Pseudoplectania are also new records at genus level.

It provides details of taxa which have not been recorded either in the 11 volumes of Flora of Turkey and the East Aegean Islands or in the 4 previously published supplementary check-lists.

Macrofungi Of Derebucak District (Konya, Turkey), Si̇nan Alkan, Giyasetti̇n Kaşik, Si̇nan Aktaş

Macrofungi specimens were collected from different localities in Derebucak district (Konya province) between 2005 and 2007, particularly during the autumn and spring. As a result 134 species were identified. Thirteen of them belong to Ascomycota, and the other 121 belong to the division Basidiomycota. According to the present literature about the macrofungi of Turkey, 6 taxa are new records for Turkey. These are Lachnellula calyciformis (Willd.) Dharne of the division Ascomycota, and Hebeloma stenocystis J.Favre, Cortinarius calochrous var. coniferarum (M.M.Moser) Nezdojm., Cortinarius cupreorufus Brandrud, Inocybe ayeri Furrer-Ziogas, and Calocera pallidospathulata D.A.Reid of the division Basidiomycota.

Some new records of Inocybe (Fr.) Fr. based on samples collected from Osmaniye, Kilis, and Isparta provinces are presented. Inocybe flocculosa var. crocifolia (Herink) Kuyper, I. ochroalba Bruyl., I. pallida Velen., I. splendens var. splendens R. Heim, I. substellata Kühner, and I. vaccina Kühner were determined to be new records from Turkey.

Senecio grandidentatus Ledeb. and Senecio doriiformis DC. subsp. doriiformis (Asteraceae) were recently collected from Posof (Ardahan province) and Çatak (Van province), and are new records for the flora of Turkey. Their descriptions and distributions are given.

New Records For The Turkish Macrofungi From Amasya Province, Si̇nan Aktaş, Celaleddi̇n Öztürk, Giyasetti̇n Kaşik, Hasan Hüseyi̇n Doğan

Macrofungi specimens were collected from different localities in Amasya province between 2002 and 2005, particularly during the months of spring and autumn. In all, 16 species were identified as new records; 1 species belongs to Ascomycetes and the other 15 species belong to Basidiomycetes. These new species are Hypoxylon multiforme, Polyporus melanopus, Hygrophorus pratensis var. pratensis, Hygrocybe ovina, Clitocybe ornamentalis, Hemimycena pseudocrispula, Mycena adscendens, Baespora myriadophylla, Entoloma mutabilipes, Parasola hemerobia, Conocybe blattaria, Psilocybe phyllogena, Inocybe squamata, Gymnopilus stabilis, Cortinarius evernius, and Galerina mycenoides.

This study was conducted to identify the biodiversity of Myxomycetes growing in Derebucak (Konya) and Akseki (Antalya) districts. The specimens have been collected periodically during field trips in 2002 and 2004. While 2 samples were treated with the moist chamber cultures method in the laboratory, 1 taxon was determined naturally. The samples grown were observed using stereo and light microscopes. The 3 new records for the Myxomycetes in Turkey are as follows: Cribraria languescens Rex, Arcyodes incarnata (Alb. & Schwein.) O.F.Cook., and Macbrideola macrospora (Nann.-Bremek.) Ing.

Several macrofungi specimens were collected during field studies in Kayseri province. After field and laboratory studies, 6 species belonging to 6 families were identified as new records for Turkey. These species are Clitocybe catinus (Fr.) Quél., Conocybe appendiculata J.E.Lange & Kühner, Coprinus macrocephalus (Berk.) Berk., Guepinia helvelloides (DC.) Fr., Psathyrella leucotephra (Berk. & Broome) P.D.Orton, and Russula olivaceoviolascens Gillet.

Microfungi Identified From The Flora Of Ordu Province In Turkey, Şanli Kabaktepe, Zeli̇ha Bahçeci̇oğlu

In this study, 101 species of microfungi and their hosts, which were found in Ordu Province are described. The research was carried out between 2002 and 2004. Approximately 1465 vascular plant specimens, plants infected with microfungi or not, were collected from the area. At the end of the study of the host plants, 35 families, 114 genera, and 138 host plant species (151 taxa) were established. The 101 species of microfungi were observed on the collected host specimens. Herein, 146 microfungi species and their hosts recorded in Kahramanmaraş province are given with their localities. The research was carried out between 2000 and 2004. Approximately 1821 vascular plant specimens infected and uninfected with microfungi were collected from the area. In total, 146 microfungi species were identified on the collected host specimens. These species belong to 36 genera and 17 families; 43 species belong to Ascomycota, 94 to Basidiomycota, 1 to Oomycota, and 8 to Mitosporic Fungi (Deuteromycota). This study serves as a checklist of the myxomycetes of Trabzon and Giresun provinces, Turkey. Sixty-one myxomycete were identified, 20 of which were collected in the field and 41 grown in moist chamber culture. A Study On The Microfungi Of Sivas Province, Zeli̇ha Bahçeci̇oğlu, Bayram Yildiz

In this article, the microfungi grown in Sivas province and their hosts are given. The research was carried out between 1996 and 1998. Approximately 2700 vascular plant specimens infected and non-infected with microfungi were collected from the area. At the end of the studies on the host specimens, 38 families, 171 genera and 315 taxa were established, and 44 host specimens are given at the generic level. As a result of taxonomic investigations carried out in the Mut (Mersin) district, 9 species belonging to 2 families (Coprinaceae and Bolbitiaceae) are recorded for the first time for the macrofungi flora of Turkey. In addition to the 32 second records, 7 new records of the genus Hieracium (H. pseudosvaneticum Peter s.l., H. biebersteinii Litw. & Zahn, H. callichlorum Litw. & Zahn, H. camkorijense Zahn s.l.) and Pilosella (P. brachiata (Bertol. & DC.)
