Physical activity is a critical component of a healthy lifestyle and can lead to improved fitness levels and blood glucose management, as well as decreased HbA1c levels. PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to determine if there are relationships between cardiorespiratory fitness, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, body composition, physical activity participation, hemoglobin A1C levels, and motor proficiency in adolescent patients with T1D. METHODS: Pediatric patients with a diagnosis of T1D enrolled in a sports medicine program were invited to participate in this study.
