Experimental or commercial abalone aquaculture is being pursued in many countries with major investments in The United States, Taiwan, China and Korea as well as in Australia. The combined total abalone aquaculture production from China and Taiwan was reported to be in the order of 2,000 tonnes and continues to rise. As cultured ‘cocktail’ abalone are below the legal harvest size of wild abalone, there will be limited competition between aquaculture and the wild fisheries.

The Farm Service Agency (FSA) guaranteed loan programs are an important source of credit to production agriculture. The two major guaranteed loan programs are the operating loan (OL) program and the farm ownership (FO) loan program. Guaranteed loans insure payment to the lender of up to 95% of the losses in the event of borrower default. FSA has historically been involved in lending to farm operators via direct loans, but emphasis has changed over the last two decades to making guaranteed loans the primary source of FSA associated lending to production agriculture. This study seeks to determine what characteristics of …

Management Directions For Western Australia's Estuarine And Marine Embayment Fisheries : A Strategic Approach To Management., Fisheries Western Australia
Fisheries management papers
This paper does not attempt to provide solutions to individual fishery problems, nor to all of the strategic problems, nor does it claim to evaluate all the options available to managers. Revegetating Desert Plant Communities, David A. Bainbridge
David A Bainbridge
Desert revegetation is possible but not easy. Careful attention to plant production (root:shoot), site prep, planting, irrigation and aftercare can lead to good survival even under extreme desert conditions. Cost per survivor is a critical consideration.

Soil Pitting For Revegetation, David A. Bainbridge
David A Bainbridge
Soil pitting provides many benefits in ecological restoration of degraded lands. The pits capture rainwater, trap seeds and soil symbionts and protect seedlings from windblast.
