In this study, 6 new lichen species belonging to 4 families of Ascomycotina have been defined for Turkey. Their distribution and substrata are given.

Nineteen new records of Turkish freshwater algae were determined in a study of the phytoplankton from Sarıyar dam reservoir. One of these species was from the Cyanobacteria, 14 were from the Chlorophyta, three were from the Euglenophyta and one was from the Heterokontophyta.

Spathularia flavida Pers.: Fr., Tremella foliacea (Pers.: S.F. Gray) Pers., Sebacina incrustans (Fr.) Tul., Albatrellus cristatus (Pers.: Fr.) Kotl. & Pouz., Hygrocybe sciophana (Fr.) Karst., Hygrophorus ligatus Fr., Hgrophorus unicolor Gröger, Hy-pholoma epixanthum (Fr.) Quél , Inocybe olida R. Mre. and Lactarius flavidus Boud. were collected from the Trabzon region and identified as new records for the macrofungal flora of Turkey.

It is reported here that Galium recurvum Req. ex DC., collected from Ayvalik (province of Balikesir), is new to the Turkish flora. In this article a photograph, a short morphological description, including an illustration of the plant parts, and a distribution map are presented.
