A Contribution To The Bryophyte Flora Of Western Turkey: The Bryophyte Flora Of Madran Mountain And The Çine Valley (Aydın, Turkey), Adnan Erdağ

This study presents a survey on the bryophyte flora of Madran mountain and Çine valley (Aydın, Turkey). One hundred and thirty-three bryophyte species belonging to 35 families and 69 genera were recorded from the area. Phaeoceros laevis (L.) Prosk. is the only member of the hornworts while liverworts are represented by 15 species. The remaining 117 taxa belong to the Bryopsida. Thirty-five species are new records for square C11 according to Henderson's (1961) grid system.

This paper deals with a floristic study of Karagüney Mountain (Kırıkkale/Turkey). The study was carried out during 1989-1991 and 2500 vascular plant samples were collected. Eight hundred and sixty-eight taxa of 378 genera have been identified. Fabaceae, Asteraceae and Poaceae are the largest families and Astragalus L., Silene L. and Salvia L. are the largest genera in the area. The endemism rate of the area is 13.1%. The classification of the taxa into three main chorological units shows that Irano-Turanian elements are predominant. Threatened categories were proposed for 109 taxa according to IUCN categories.

Macrofungi were collected during field trips in the Ağrı district between 1997 and 2000. At the end of field and laboratory studies, 45 taxa belonging to 3 classes and 18 families were identified. Three of these, Pluteus ephebeus (Fr.:Fr.) Gill. (Pluteaceae), Coprinus auricomus Pat. (Coprinaceae) and Inocybe tigrina Heim. (Cortinariaceae), are new records for the mycoflora of Turkey.

Flora Of Tuzaklı, Otluk, Gidefi Mountains And Surroundings (Akseki), Ahmet Duran

The natural and cultivated plants of Tuzaklı, Otluk, Gidefi mountains and their surroundings were studied between 1994 and 1997; 2486 herbarium specimens belonging to 1023 taxa, 484 genera and 98 families were collected and identified from the areas. Sixty-one taxa are cultivated and the rest are native plants. The phytogeographic elements are represented in the study area as follows: Mediterranean 360 (37.4%), Irano-Turanian 86 (8.9%) and Euro-Siberian 35 (3.6%). The phytogeographic regions of 481 (50%) taxa are either multi-regional or unknown. Phytogeographic regions are recommended for 12 taxa, of which phytogeographic regions have not been previously suggested. The life forms …

Thirty myxomycetes species are new records for Turkey. Among these species, Craterium minutum (Leers) Fries, Dianema repens G.Lister & Cran., Lindbladia tubulina Fries and Tubifera ferrruginosa (Batsch) J.F.Gmel. are also new genus record taxa for the myxomycetes flora of Turkey.

A floristic study of Kazankaya Canyon was carried out. Sixty families, 216 genera and 308 taxa were identified. A species new to science was found from the genus Scorzonera L. (Compositae). Fifty-two taxa (16.9%) are Irano-Turanian, 41 (13.3%) Mediterranean and 11 (3.6%) Euro-Siberian phytogeographic region elements. The remaining 195 (63.3%) taxa are multi-regional and 9 (2.9%) are not from a determined phytogeographic region. The life forms were determined according to Raunkiaer. The number of endemic taxa is 24 (7.8%). Four taxa show variations not previously reported in the literature. Thirty-four taxa are new floristic records for the square A5.
