The establishment of Ombudsman had been officially established on 2000, based on presidential decree number 44/2000 of Ombudsman Commission of Republic Indonesia. It was later strengthened by Law Number 37/2008 of Ombudsman Republic Indonesia. As one of State Auxiliary Body, Ombudsman exercises one of Legislative's powers, which is supervision function.
