This thesis explores the process of political redistricting, a crucial component of ensuring fair representation in legislative bodies. The study first outlines the background and criteria of redistricting in the United States, emphasizing important criteria such as equal population, racial fairness, contiguity, and political fairness. It then focuses on the Distrix protocol for political redistricting in which two or more players (i.e., political parties) take turns assigning small pieces of territory to districts until no more unassigned territory remains. Therefore, this study proposes two production environments commonly used in the paint industry: build-to-order (BTO) and the variation of a configuration-to-order (CTO), called group production, to schedule paint production. The expenses of a company can be influenced by large inventories and backlogs due to the bullwhip effect in the supply chain. Kinesiology Tape (KT) is an elastic athletic tape and is popular among athletes as it was claimed that it can to be worn for several days and is capable of preventing injuries, improving rehabilitation processes, improving muscle oxygenation levels, and enhancing muscle performance. This research proposesd a game theoretic model of a biofuel supply chain (BSC) where a utility company supplies reservoir water to two farmers, located in downstream and upstream of a hydropower dam. The decision-making process of the model is formulated as a three-stage Stackelberg game. We analyze the equilibrium of the decentralized systems and the effect of the government subsidy on energy crop (switchgrass) production for cellulosic biofuel industries, with two forms of subsidy: (1) discriminated subsidies and (2) equalized subsidies.

This study presents a heuristic algorithm to minimize total weighted tardiness on unrelated parallel machines with sequence-dependent setup time and future ready time. We propose a new rule based on Apparent Tardiness Cost (ATC). The performance of the rule is evaluated on unrelated parallel machines. In order to solve a problem, we use a look-ahead method and a job-swap method. When a machine becomes idle, the heuristic compares the jobs on the machine and selects the one with the smallest total tardiness value to carry out a process.

Therefore, this study recruited 14 healthy male subjects (college population, 182.9 ± 5.1 cm, 76.52 ± 10.2 kg). to complete an eight-day KT intervention experiment. On Day 1 and Day 2 the subjects did not wear KT. During Days 3 to 6 the subjects wore the KT on their dominant leg (treatment leg) only.
