The development of commercial maintenance and overhaul manuals for aerospace engines is requisite for certification by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Robust content management systems are used for authoring, publishing, and maintaining these manuals which must meet general industry standards as well as unique company requirements. Therefore, system selection is complex, requiring review of numerous criteria of both quantitative and qualitative nature and is highly dependent on expert judgment which includes uncertainty.
