Direct Electrochemistry Of Glucose Oxidase Based On Ws2 Quantum Dots And Its Biosensing Application, Chen-Lu Li, Hua-Ping Peng, Zhong-Nan Huang, Yi-Lun Sheng, Pei-Wen Wu, Xin-Hua Lin

Journal of Electrochemistry

In this study, a novel electrochemical glucose biosensor has been developed by immobilizing glucose oxidase (GOx) on tungsten disulfide quantum dots (WS2 QDs) on the surface of glassy carbon electrode (GCE). Transmission electron microscopy, UV-vis spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry were employed to characterize the morphology, structure, and electrochemical behaviors of the as-prepared WS2 QDs and the biofilm modified electrode. The results suggested that the WS2 QDs could accelerate the electron transfer between the electrode and the immobilized enzyme, which enabled the direct electrochemistry of GOx without any electron mediator. Besides, the immobilized GOx in WS2 QDsfilm …

Direct Electrochemistry And Glucose Biosensing Of Glucose Oxidase-Gold Nanoparticles Composite Synthesized By Enzyme Method, Fang He, Xiao-Li Qin, Ying-Chun Fu, Chao Chen, Qing-Ji Xie, Shou-Zhuo Yao Dec 2014

Direct Electrochemistry And Glucose Biosensing Of Glucose Oxidase-Gold Nanoparticles Composite Synthesized By Enzyme Method, Fang He, Xiao-Li Qin, Ying-Chun Fu, Chao Chen, Qing-Ji Xie, Shou-Zhuo Yao

Journal of Electrochemistry

Glucose oxidase (GOx)-gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) composite was synthesized by the one-pot enzyme reaction in the mixture solution of NaAuCl4, GOx and glucose, and a Nafion/GOx-AuNPs/glassy carbon electrode was fabricated by the cast-coating method to examine the direct electrochemistry of GOx and the biosensing performance on this electrode. Such a GOx-AuNPs composite showed good direct-electrochemistry activity and bioactivity of GOx, probably because the enzyme-mediated AuNPs are close to the redox active centers of GOx. This enzyme electrode exhibited a linear amperometric response to glucose concentration (0.54 mmol·L-1) at -0.4 V (vs. SCE), and a detection limit of …

Nafion/Thionine/Platinum Nanowires-Modified Electrode For Electrocatalyzing Glucose, Yu-Ping Lin, You-Xiu Lin, Qian Zhou, Dian-Ping Tang Dec 2014

Nafion/Thionine/Platinum Nanowires-Modified Electrode For Electrocatalyzing Glucose, Yu-Ping Lin, You-Xiu Lin, Qian Zhou, Dian-Ping Tang

Journal of Electrochemistry

A new amperometric biosensor based on Nafion, thionine and latinum nanowires was developed for sensitive detection of glucose. Initially, positively charged thionine molecules were immobilized onto the surface of Nafion-modified glassy carbon electrode through the interaction between -SO3- and -NH3+, and glucose oxidase was then assembled on the modified electrode by using platinum nanowires as the cross-linkage. The preparation process was characterized by using cyclic voltammetry. Two enzymatic biosensors modified with and without platinum nanowires were used for the detection of glucose, and the improved analytical properties were obtained with platinum nanowires. Experimental results indicated …

Design And Development Of A Novel Glucose Biosensor Based On The Ferrocene-Functionalized Fe3O4 Nanoparticles/Carbon Nanotubes/Chitosan Nanocomposite Film Modified Electrode, Hua-Ping Peng, Dai-Jun Zha, Wei Chen, Ai-Lin Liu, Xin-Hua Lin Feb 2014

Design And Development Of A Novel Glucose Biosensor Based On The Ferrocene-Functionalized Fe3O4 Nanoparticles/Carbon Nanotubes/Chitosan Nanocomposite Film Modified Electrode, Hua-Ping Peng, Dai-Jun Zha, Wei Chen, Ai-Lin Liu, Xin-Hua Lin

Journal of Electrochemistry

A novel platform for the fabrication of glucose biosensor was successfully constructed by entrapping glucose oxidase (GOD) in a ferrocene monocarboxylic acid-aminated Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles conjugate (FMC-AFNPs)/chitosan (CS)/multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) nanocomposite. The formation of FMC-AFNPs could effectively prevent the leakage of ferrocene and retain its electrochemical activity. This GOD/FMC-AFNPs/CS/MWNTs matrix provided a biocompatible microenvironment for retaining the native activity of the immobilized GOD. Moreover, the presence of MWNTs enhanced the charge-transport properties of the composite and facilitated electron transfer between the GOD and the electrode for the electrocatalysis of glucose. Under the optimal conditions the designed …

Direct Electron Transfer Of Redox Proteins And Enzymes Promoted By Carbon Nanotube, Chen-Xin Cai May 2004

Direct Electron Transfer Of Redox Proteins And Enzymes Promoted By Carbon Nanotube, Chen-Xin Cai

Journal of Electrochemistry

The redox proteins (enzymes), such as hemoglobin (Hb), horseradish peroxidase (HRP) and glucose oxidase (GOx) were immobilized on the surface of the carbon nanotube modified with glassy carbon (CNT/GC) electrode, respectively. The experimental results showed that the redox proteins (enzymes) underwent effective and stable direct electron transfer reaction at the surface of CNT/GC electrode with a pair of nearly symmetrical redox peaks in phosphate buffer solution. The formal redox potential, E~(0'), is almost independent on the scan rates, the average value of E~(0') for Hb, HRP and GOx is -0.343±0.001, -0.319±0.002 and -0.456±0.001 V (vs.SCE,pH 6.9), respectively. The dependence of …
