Pd Doped Sno2 Resistive Film As A Non-Enzymatic Glucose Sensor, Salim F. Bamsaoud, Sandhya Rani, R. N. Karekar Prof., S. W. Gosavi

Hadhramout University Journal of Natural & Applied Sciences

A new sugar sensor based on metal oxide is presented here. The variation on the sensor resistance is studied against different glucose and fructose concentrations (1 - 360 mg/dl). The study is done for three different resistive films (i) pristine palladium oxide (PdOx); (ii) tin oxide (SnO2) and (iii) palladium doped tin oxide (Pd-SnO2). The chemical reactions of glucose and fructose with surface species were studied. Pd-SnO2 films show an excellent and reliable response to glucose and fructose solution in comparison with the bare films (PdOx and SnO2). Sensor performance was checked for the blood of normal (120 mg/d) and …

Low Temperature Solution-Processed Sb:Sno2 Nanocrystals For Efficient Planar Perovskite Solar Cells, Yang Bai, Yanjun Fang, Yehao Deng, Qi Wang, Jingjing Zhao, Xiaopeng Zheng, Yang Zhang, Jinsong Huang

Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering: Faculty Publications

Inorganic metal oxide electron-transport layers (ETLs) have the potential to yield perovskite solar cells with improved stability, but generally need high temperature to form conductive and defect-less forms, which is not compatible with the fabrication of flexible and tandem solar cells. Here, we demonstrate a facile strategy for developing efficient inorganic ETLs by doping SnO2 nanocrystals (NCs) with a small amount of Sb using a low-temperature solution-processed method. The electrical conductivity was remarkably enhanced by Sb-doping, which increased the carrier concentration in Sb:SnO2 NCs. Moreover, the upward shift of the Fermi level owing to doping results in improved …

Nanostructured Tin-Based Anodes For Lithium Ion Batteries With X-Ray Absorption Fine Structure Studies, Dongniu Wang

Electronic Thesis and Dissertation Repository

The practical applications of lithium ion batteries are highly dependent on the choice of electrodes, where boosting the materials innovations to design and achieve high capacity, excellent cycling performance, rate capability, low-cost and safe electrode materials provide the best solution. Based on this, tin-based anodes have gained great attention due to its high theoretical capacity, low cost and nontoxic nature to environment. Nevertheless, it undergoes significant volume variation(259%)during the operation of the battery, leading to pulverization and significant capacity fade. Thus, the practical application of tin-based anodes is still quite challenging. This thesis tackles issues related to tin-based anodes. It …
