In this study, a series of experiments was set up in order to analyze the morphology development and mechanical properties of poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET)/ liquid crystalline polymer (LCP) blends. Simulations of the injection molded blends at various process conditions were performed using CMOLD. In order to determine the effect of the processing parameters on the deformation of the LCP domains during the injection molding, a new analytical method to analyze the melt flow in the advancing melt front (AMF) region was developed.
