Using Sustainable Technique To Recycle Waste Paper In Academic Institutions, Mustafa M. Mansour Jun 2024

Using Sustainable Technique To Recycle Waste Paper In Academic Institutions, Mustafa M. Mansour

Al-Bahir Journal for Engineering and Pure Sciences

It has been clearly demonstrated that it would be feasible to consider recycling paper in an academic institution. This can be achieved through combining specific waste paper baskets, a pulping machine and power supplied by a renewable energy source, with an already established local paper making company. The paper making company would be able to gain a subsidy from the government which pays them to actually recycle paper, to counteract the cost of the pulped paper which is 30% more expensive than raw wood pulp. The academic institution would save money on waste disposal and decrease its carbon footprint by …

Journal of Materials Exploration and Findings

The human factors (HF) are recognized as one of critical process safety barriers involved in normal and abnormal conditions in the oil and gas industry. In order to strengthen the HF roles as barriers we need to ensure that the actions generated are based on a valid risk assessment of the operation to be addressed by a relevant human factor analysis. Organizations within the oil and gas process have made much progress in understanding and implementing HF improvement programs. However, organizations are not always clear about what are their current situations in managing HF, their priorities for HF to be …

Journal of Materials Exploration and Findings

Railway axle serves as a vital connection between the train's wheels and its body. However, cyclic loading and high speed can induce fatigue in railway axle, which potentially leads to damage human safety. Therefore, it is important to find materials that have good mechanical properties with the lowest weight and cost. In this paper, a comprehensive method using Ashby chart has been performed to select candidate materials of railway axle. The methods begin with analyzing function by determining the problem, objective function, and constraints. After that, the results obtained are ranked using Pahl and Beitz quantitative weighting method. The results …

Makara Journal of Technology

Drift forces caused by sea waves and currents are an important aspect that needs to be studied in planning moored floating structures, especially Floating Production Units (FPU) type ships which are operated for oil and gas exploration. This study describes the drift forces on the FPU which is subjected to environmental loads in the form of waves. The slow-drift movement that occurs in a moored FPU, and experiencing irregular waves is a very important problem. The complexity of determining drift forces analytically and numerically requires the use of hydrodynamics model test. In the model test on a certain model scale …

Dying Of Natural Silk Deglued By Various Methods, Venera Djavdatovna Khamidova

Technical science and innovation

Products made of natural silk are indispensable for their hygienic properties and will always be in great demand. To obtain an even and intense coloration on a textile material, it is necessary to ensure its effective preparation with the most complete removal of hydrophobic contaminants (both natural and silicone oils applied during the weaving process, lubricants, etc.), which hinder the dyeing of the substrate and reduce the color characteristics of the obtained colors. Therefore, the issue of preparing natural silk for dyeing is relevant. In view of the sensitivity of the main fiber-forming component of natural silk - fibroin to …

Modelling Of Heat Transfer In An Air Solar Collector, Shakhnoza Abduvaxitovna Sultanova, Jasur Esirgapovich Safarov, A.A. Mambetsheripova

Technical science and innovation

This study is the prediction, depending on time and different geographical and climatic situations, of different operating parameters: solar radiation, ambient and outlet coolant temperature, heat exchange coefficients and losses. All these determine, in the absence of measurements, the efficiency of the system modelled with existing models with respect to these parameters. These models are usually compared with experimental results. Before modelling, it is necessary to investigate the different heat transfer and exchange regimes that exist between the different elements of this system in order to eventually have a system of equations governing this exchange. The modelling principle is to …

Technical science and innovation

The findings of research conducted on the saw gin’s accelerator in its raw chamber are displayed at different belt drive eccentricity values, both in the absence of load and with technological load. It has been discovered that, in a steady-state scenario without a load, the maximum torque value increases as the eccentricity of the system’s tension roller increases in a technological load scenario, the torque minimum is noted at an eccentricity of e = 3 mm. When conducting experiments under load, the average angular velocity fluctuation amplitude and the coefficient of unevenness of rotation have minimum values at zero eccentricity …
