Research On Optimization Of Plunge Centerless Grinding Process Using Genetic Algorithm And Response Surface Method, Innovative Research Publications Irp India, Phan Bui Khoi, Do Duc Trung, Ngo Cuong, Nguyen Dinh Man

Innovative Research Publications IRP India

This paper presents the research on optimization of plunge centerless grinding process when grind 20X – carbon infiltration steel (ГOCT standard - Russia) to achieve minimum of roundness error value. The input parameters are center height angle of the workpiece (  ), longitudinal grinding wheel dressing feed-rate ( Ssd ), plunge feed-rate ( k S ) and control wheel velocity ( dd v ). Using the result of 29 runs in Central Composite Design matrix to given the second order roundness error model. Genetic algorithm and Response surface method were used to focus on determination of optimum centerless grinding …

Optimization Of Economic Lot Scheduling Problem With Backordering And Shelf-Life Considerations Using Calibrated Metaheuristic Algorithms

Faculty of Engineering University of Malaya

This paper addresses the optimization of economic lot scheduling problem, where multiple items are produced on a single machine in a cyclical pattern. It is assumed that each item can be produced more than once in every cycle, each product has a shelf-life restriction, and backordering is permitted. The aim is to determine the optimal production rate, production frequency, cycle time, as well as a feasible manufacturing schedule for the family of items, and to minimize the long-run average costs. Efficient search procedures are presented to obtain the optimum solutions by employing four well-known metaheuristic algorithms, namely genetic algorithm (GA), …

A New Framework For Power System Identification Based On An Improved Genetic Algorithm, Lin Gao May 2009

A New Framework For Power System Identification Based On An Improved Genetic Algorithm, Lin Gao

Lin Gao

Accuracy parameters of power system model are of great importance in stability and security evaluation or simulation. Some of the conventional methods may have inadequate adaptability or effectiveness for identification of different power systems. A general framework for power system identification is proposed based on an improved genetic algorithm with a logarithmic fitness function and an adaptive searching space. It can be used for most power system models (linear or nonlinear) and can readily be performed on different models just by rebuilt corresponding map lists between the parameters and the coefficients of the general model. The numerical experiment and practical …
