This article describes methods of the determination of kinetic parameters from the thermogravimetric data set of biomass samples. It presents the methodology of the research, description of the needed equipment, and the method of analysis of thermogravimetric data. It describes both methodology of obtaining quantitative data such as kinetic parameters as well as of obtaining qualitative data like the composition of biomass. The study is focused mainly on plant biomass because it is easy in harvesting and preparation. Methodology is shown on the sample containing corn stover which is subsequently pyrolysed. Oxy-reforming is emerging as an interesting alternative to conventional methods of hydrogen generation. The current article characterises this process through analysis of individual reactions: SMR (steam methane reforming), WGS (water gas shift) and CPO (catalytic partial oxidation). Analyses relate to optimisation of thermal conditions thus enabling cost-effectivenes of the process.

This paper describes development of a general methodology of an autonomous PV/FC system composed of photovoltaic (PV), electrolyzer, hydrogen storage tank and fuel cell (FC). The aim of this paper is to determine optimum design, control strategy, economic and performance of a PV/FC hybrid power generation system without battery storage taking into account all losses in the system. The paper also presents a computer program based on Matlab software to determine optimum design, control strategy, economic and performance of an autonomous PV/FC hybrid power generation system. In this paper, a general regression neural network (GRNN) based controller is used to control the speed and thrust output of the linear induction motor drive. The field orientation principle is used to asymptotically decouple the motor speed from the secondary flux. The idea of model predictive control technique is used for the training of the proposed controller. The motivation for using this control strategy for training the GRNN based controller is to reduce the effect of the uncertainty due to motor parameters variation and load disturbance. This paper presents modeling and control analysis of a combined Wind-H2 system connected to an electrical grid and supplying a local electric load. The system consists of a wind farm for electricity generation and an electrolyzer to produce hydrogen for a filling station. A computer program has been developed in MATLAB for simulating the operation and control of the integrated system. Energy balances and hydrogen flow balances are calculated for each time step based on a system model and the specified control strategy. Calculation of transmission line faults has a fundamental importance in the fault detection, classification, and location determination of faults in transmission line. This paper presents a proposed computer program based on Matlab software to calculate all ten types of shunt faults that may occur in a transmission line. Various fault scenarios (fault types, fault locations and fault impedance) are considered in this paper. The inputs of the proposed program are line length, source voltage, positive, negative and zero sequence for source impedance, line charging, and transmission line impedance. The optimization of diesel generators (DGs) and renewable energy sources have to be done within a cost benefit, high reliability and environmentally friendly framework. Most of optimization method just consider only from economical point of view. This paper presents complete optimization method involving of cost, reliability and pollutant emission into optimization process. The reliability level is analyzed using basic probabilistic concept in order to find loss of load probability (LOLP). This value is then used to determine the customer damage cost due to electricity interruption. Meanwhile, CO2 emission as an indicator of pollution is calculated to determine the annual emission …
