Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) have been at the center of media attention and hyperbole since 2012. Physics I: Classical Mechanics was a physics course offered by an elite private university in the northeastern United States in the fall of 2014. This course was offered in a blended learning format using a MOOC platform. There were 476 students enrolled in the course, but only 266 of them completed the course.
