Recently, several researchers have discovered the need for radios to use description techniques. Previous research describes information such as the current frequency band, waveform, and so on. However, this information is presented at a level that is not sufficient to determine software/hardware compatibility for over-the-air software download. For example, a device should not attempt to download a wideband waveform if its radio front-end is only narrowband, or if its baseband hardware cannot provide the required MIPS for the new waveform. Ontologies are key enablers for sharing precise and machine-understandable semantics among different applications and parties. this paper provides a novel semi-automatic ontology extension method for Semantic Web Services (SWS). This is significant since ontology extension methods those existing in literature mostly deal with semantic description of static Web resources such as text documents. Hence, there is a need for methods that can serve dynamic Web resources such as SWS. The developed method in this paper avoids redundancy and respects consistency so as to assure high quality of the resulting shared ontologies.

This paper discusses information flow between knowledge-based models and shape grammars for generation of building designs, explaining the interaction, system and implementation. The benefit for using the interactive system is that the complementary properties of the two schemes are used to strengthen the overall process. Shape grammar contains rules about the geometric organization, while knowledge-based model supports the contextual information.
