This paper provides an abstract overview of the state-of-the-art research on VQA using Semantic Web technologies, including knowledge …

Power Amplifier Based On Composite Injection-Voltaic Transistors, Nodira Batirdjanovna Alimova Apr 2023

Power Amplifier Based On Composite Injection-Voltaic Transistors, Nodira Batirdjanovna Alimova

Chemical Technology, Control and Management

The problem of high-current radio engineering devices is related to the fact that the use of high-power transistors and other semiconductor devices is limited by such a phenomenon as a secondary breakdown, in which there is a sharp decrease in the voltage on the device with simultaneous internal current lacing, and the device fails. To solve the problem of secondary breakdown, schemes have been proposed that operate stably at reverse voltage values 4-5 times higher than usual and at power dissipation 2-3 times higher than the maximum allowable power for an individual device. The problem is proposed to be solved …

State Of The Art In Drivers’ Attention Monitoring – A Systematic Literature Review, Sama Hussein Al-Gburi, Kanar Alaa Al-Sammak, Ion Marghescu, Claudia Cristina Oprea

Karbala International Journal of Modern Science

Recently, driver inattention has become the leading cause of automobile accidents. As a result, the driver's perception and decision-making abilities are diminished, and the driver can lose control of the car. To prevent accidents caused by driver inattention, it’s vital to continuously monitor the driver and his driving behaviour and inform him if he becomes distracted or sleepy. This topic has been the subject of study for decades. Whenever feasible to recognise unsafe driving in advance, accidents could be avoided. This document presents an overview of the existing driver alertness system and the various techniques for detecting driver attentiveness.

What Will Affect The Diffusion Of Ai Agents?, James W. Dearing

Human-Machine Communication

For billions of people, the threat of the Novel Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 and its variants has precipitated the adoption of new behaviors. Pandemics are radical events that disrupt the gradual course of societal change, offering the possibility that some rapidly adopted innovations will persist in use past the time period of the event and, thus, diffuse more rapidly than in the absence of such an event. Human-machine communication includes a range of technologies with which many of us have quickly become more familiar due to stay-athome orders, distancing, workplace closures, remote instruction, home-bound entertainment, fear of contracting COVID-19, and boredom. In …

Our Future Arrived: Diffusion Of Human-Machine Communication And Transformation Of The World For The Post-Pandemic Era, Do Kyun David Kim, Gary Kreps, Rukhsana Ahmed

Human-Machine Communication

The world is getting into a new phase in history. For the first time, humans are verbally communicating and developing meaningful relationships with non-living objects. AI is a wormhole to open a gateway to the new world, and the COVID-19 pandemic prepared the world to transform its system to be an open system that responds to, communicates with, and utilizes the remnants coming out of the wormhole of the new world. Now, we urgently need to create a holistic discourse on how we can recognize, develop, or shape the identities of communicable machines as people develop a partnership with them. …

Designing Blended Experiences: Laugh Traders Design Fiction, Brian J. Okeefe Jul 2021

Designing Blended Experiences: Laugh Traders Design Fiction, Brian J. Okeefe

Frameless

The increasing ubiquity of interactions that involve complementary digital content, physical objects, and spaces, brings about new challenges for designers. There is a need to embed designs in legacy systems, whether those are existing physical structures or existing digital platforms. Traditional approaches to product design, interaction design, and user experience design often do not take this new context into account. Many systems do not consider how designers produce new digital and physical experiences that work harmoniously, while supporting new interactions and relationships with people (Imaz and Benyon 2007; Jetter, Geyer, Schwarz & Reiterer 2012). To address this, we propose the …

Multilayer Perceptron With Auto Encoder Enabled Deep Learning Model For Recommender Systems, Subhashini Narayan

Future Computing and Informatics Journal

In this modern world of ever-increasing one-click purchases, movie bookings, music, health- care, fashion, the need for recommendations have increased the more. Google, Netflix, Spotify, Amazon and other tech giants use recommendations to customize and tailor their search engines to suit the user’s interests. Many of the existing systems are based on older algorithms which although have decent accuracies, require large training and testing datasets and with the emergence of deep learning, the accuracy of algorithms has further improved, and error rates have reduced due to the use of multiple layers. The need for large datasets has declined as well. …

Twitter Analysis Based On Damage Detection And Geoparsing For Event Mapping Management, Yasmeen Ali, Khaled Bahnasy, Adel El-Mahdy

Future Computing and Informatics Journal

Background: Early event detection, monitor, and response can significantly decrease the impact of disasters. Lately, the usage of social media for detecting events has displayed hopeful results. Objectives: for event detection and mapping; the tweets will locate and monitor them on a map. This new approach uses grouped geoparsing then scoring for each tweet based on three spatial indicators. Method/Approach: Our approach uses a geoparsing technique to match a location in tweets to geographic locations of multiple-events tweets in Egypt country, administrative subdivision. Thus, additional geographic information acquired from the tweet itself to detect the actual locations that …

Exploring Critical Success Factors For Data Integration And Decision-Making In Law Enforcement, Marquay Edmondson, Walter R. Mccollum, Mary-Margaret Chantre, Gregory Campbell

International Journal of Applied Management and Technology

Agencies from various disciplines supporting law enforcement functions and processes have integrated, shared, and communicated data through ad hoc methods to address crime, terrorism, and many other threats in the United States. Data integration in law enforcement plays a critical role in the technical, business, and intelligence processes created by users to combine data from various sources and domains to transform them into valuable information. The purpose of this qualitative phenomenological study was to explore the current conditions of data integration frameworks through user and system interactions among law enforcement organizational processes. Further exploration of critical success factors used to …

Autonomous Speed Control For Kia Optima, Andrew J. Combs, Kyle Fugatt, Kevin Mcfall Jun 2017

Autonomous Speed Control For Kia Optima, Andrew J. Combs, Kyle Fugatt, Kevin Mcfall

The Kennesaw Journal of Undergraduate Research

The standard method for speed control is the cruise control system built into most modern vehicles. These systems employ a PID controller which actuates the accelerator thus, in turn, maintains the desired vehicle speed. The main drawback of such a system is that typically the cruise control will only engage above 25 mph. The goal of this paper is to describe a system which we used to control vehicle speed from a stop to any desired speed using an Arduino microcontroller and a CAN BUS shield, from where autonomous features can be built upon. With this system, we were able …
